Malia's POV.
I wake up to the smell of blueberry pancakes and hot coffee. I get up and stretch rubbing my head as I try to blink myself awake. I look to my side table to see my breakfast and a note with my name on it. I sigh already knowing what it probably says.
'Morning my beautiful daughter! I'm so sorry that I could not accompany you to school today. Here is your breakfast and Alfred will drop you off at the school at 7 am. Love you so much have an amazing day at school.'
I scoff, throwing the note away and grabbing a cup of coffee before walking up to my window and sipping on the coffee staring out into the huge garden filled with mazes, roses, and plenty of flowers to fill up this empty mansion and make this hollow trap seem inviting.
Why does she bother with these notes? She has never dropped me at school my whole life. It is my third year at Hogwarts and I've tried my best to keep my head down and not really bring too much attention to myself. You see my mum is very involved in the Ministry of Magic. She's a famous healer and is in very high demand and travels a lot for work, so I never get to see her.
But the truth is I know my Mum is involved in a lot of bad things too. I did not know the details, but my Mum and I have secrets. I also have a feeling she's keeping things from me. For all I know she could have been involved with You Know Who. I assume that's why I have never met my father and know, well, absolutely nothing about him really. I trust my Mum, so I never ask questions about these 'secrets' or my Father.
All I know about him is that he and my mum didn't get along and they always fought. I just see both of them as people who have abandoned me and left me with a strange hole in my heart that can't be filled with chocolate and expensive gifts my Mum gets me. Both of their absences just really prove the fact that I'm always gonna be alone.
"Are you ready, Miss Pierce?" Alfred asks, knocking on the door before entering.
"No," I replied. I am getting sick of doing everything my Mum told me. I understood that I needed to trust her and I do. But that doesn't mean I couldn't have some fun while she's not here right?
"I was instructed to leave at 7 am. Sharp."
"Look around Alfred, do you see my Mother here?" I ask rhetorically. I then cut him off before he could answer, "No, she isn't. Which makes me, your boss. And I say. We leave at 8 pm and we go shopping for clothes." I replied still looking out the window.
"Yes... Miss Pierce." Alfred says before leaving.
"I'm quite sick of doing what mother dear asks of me. Don't you agree Archibald?" I ask crouching down at my beautiful fluffy Corgi. "If she has a problem with the way I act... then she better come home and tell me." I smile as Archie barks.
At Hogwarts
After a huge shopping spree with Mum's credit card, I get dressed in my new clothes and we drive to the castle. I wear my white blouse and a cute green sweater with a black and white plaid skirt. I pair them with my knee-high black boots. "Miss Pierce..." Snape sneers as Alfred opens the door of the car, which is parked at the entrance of Hogwarts.
"Yes Professor?" I smile as I stand in front of him.
"And what excuse do you have for coming late? I believe the privilege of letting you come by car instead of the train means that you should at least be on time. Don't you agree?" Snape remarks.
