3rd Person POV.

Fred is excited. He is trying to figure out a way to ask Malia out to the Yule Ball and officially as well.  He spends the whole day trying to figure out what to do. It would annoy him so much watching guys ask her out, but it also made him realise that he couldn't just show up at his doorstep and say, 'hey, be my girlfriend and go to the dance with me.'

Since there is no Quidditch this year, lots of the teams took this as a time to rest, but in order to not fall behind, there were still supervised practises every now and then. Just not as many as there usually are.

Either way, Fred spent all of the Qudditchpractise with his head in the clouds, figuratively and literally. "Weasley, get your shit together!" Lee yells from the stands.

"Freddie. You okay?" George asks, knowing that something is very obviously going on with his twin brother.

He replies, "Yeah, I'm fine."

"You're telling me later, or else." George threatens, flying away on his broomstick. Fred knows that he couldn't hide anything from his brother. But he didn't know what to say.

After practice is over, Fred and George were walking towards the locker rooms. "Weasley." Angelina yells.

"Yeah." the twins say, turning around.

"The useless one." Angelina says again.

"Would not want to be you." George teases, patting Fred on the shoulder before running off.

Fred knows he is about to get a long-ass lecture or a beating of some sort. "Angelina... listen."

"Are you okay?" Angelina asks, to Fred's surprise.

"Uh, yeah. Just a lot on my mind I guess." Fred admits.

"About the ball and all that?" Angelina asks.

"Um, kinda." Fred says, scratching the back of his head.

"If it makes you feel at ease, I haven't been asked too." Angelina says, assuming that he is worried about who to take, not how to ask.

"What? Are you serious?" Fred says, ignoring her assumptions. He is just surprised to hear that Angelina hasn't been asked.

"Yeah, for real." Angelina replies.

"I just, I don't know how to ask someone to the dance. If I'm being completely honest." Fred confesses. Hoping it will make her feel better.

"Just ask her, I'm pretty sure she will say yes." Angelina advises.

"What makes you so sure?" Fred asks.

"Instincts?" Angelina shrugs. "Besides, I know you Weasley. You're a good guy. Any girl will be lucky to have you."

"Thanks, Johnson." Fred smirks.

"No worries." Angelina smiles.

"Why are you being so nice for? Thought I would get a brutal beating. Verbally and physically." Fred chuckles.
