(Author's POV)
The night sky was drowning the college campus but the twinkling fairy lights adorning the whole premise kept the lively ambiance of the cultural fest alive as the people littered around.
Eunhye had only experienced these kinds of events around the Christmas season and seeing something of this scale her college awed her as she traversed through the hordes of the crowd surrounding the various stalls of food, games, and other attractions. It was just like a modern fair suited to the taste of youngsters. Instead of merry-go-rounds and toy shops, there were tattoo stalls and cosplay photo booths.
Tucking in the few rebellious strands of my hair that were dancing in the cold autumn breeze and tickling my face, she decided to go feed myself some good delicacies around, the aroma of which was lingering in the air.
" Eunhye!!! There you are.", The sudden shrill sound of Wooju made her spin on her heels to see her emerge from behind a crowd as she flashed her a wide grin and walked up to her. Eunhye had been trying to avoid her for the past few days and suddenly the sight of her made her dumbfounded. She knew it was stupid of her to think that she could avoid her forever.
"Where have you been these past days? Did you come to classes?", Wooju asked her but her eyes were fixed on the person next to them. The familiar person whom she had taken to the hospital. Following her gaze, Wooju exclaimed,
"Oh, this is Inha sunbae. She is-"
"Hello, Eunhye. How are you?", the familiar sweet smile crept on her face as she took Eunhye in an abrupt warm embrace.
"I'm good. How are you?", she smiled back, the sudden warm embrace making her bubble in happiness.
"So you two are already acquainted. Great! I look like a fool again.", Wooju chuckled as she shook her head dramatically before linking their arms together and dragging them towards the auditorium.
"Where are we going?", Eunhye asked, upon seeing the dark hallways.
"To see the cultural program. It's almost about to end so might as well catch a few performances. I heard the Arts department here has great artists. ", Wooju answered, gleefully.
The faint sound of applause and murmuring became louder and clearer as we reached the hall. Thankfully, they were able to catch the last performance of the night. They took their seats and immediately got immersed in it. It was a freestyle act by the Dance club and they were pretty great. A certain blonde with cute bangs and a striking physique caught their eyes as she owned the stage. The passion oozing out of her was so evident.
"Who is that? A celebrity?", Inha voiced the thoughts that were running in their heads.
"Her name is Lisa. She is very famous in the uni. I heard she got signed under a label last month.", Wooju informed them. And that made Eunhye wonder how she was so well informed about all the college gossip.
"She's going to be so famous. She is so great!", Inha chirped and the other two couldn't help but look at the mesmerizing performance with awe.
But it ended soon and it was already time for the ending speech.
"We should've come earlier. We missed all the performances.", Eunhye muttered, frowning and the other two only chuckled.
"Let's go eat. I'm hungry.", Inha suggested, as she grabbed her bag.
"No. Wait. My brother is supposed to make a speech now. He is the sponsor of our uni."
That made Eunhye turn her head towards Wooju at such a speed that she almost got whiplash. Before she could ask more, the lights got dimmed around them with the stage getting illuminated all of a sudden. And before she knew it, her breath got hitched as the familiar yet strange alluring and brooding persona entered the stage.
The dark suit adorned his figure making him more attractive and his aura made him appear even more enigmatic than he already was. As much as Eunhye's attention was fixed on the man who makes her question her sanity, she couldn't ignore the gasps and muffled squeals of the other students around them.
In the midst of the speech, it felt like Taehyung saw her as their eyes met and he paused momentarily. The intensity of his gaze making her own flutter away. Maybe it was just her imagination. It was too dark around the audience for him to see me anyway.

"When you said let's eat, I didn't imagine ending up like this!", Wooju's frustrated yelling mustered the attention of the two girls who were too drunk to even focus.
Inha was beyond drunk. She was wasted as Wooju tried to stop her from downing more shots of the clear, strong drink that was the cause of all this.
"Butt I loove Sojuuu...", Inha slurred in a drunken fit as Wooju struggled to take the glass from her vice-like grip. Somehow after a short tug-of-war for the glass, Wooju was able to push Inha away before settling down on her seat with a loud huff.
Her gaze landed on Eunhye who grew awfully quiet after a few shots. She had made it clear that she had never had alcohol before and wasn't planning to try any time soon but after the cultural ceremony, her mood shifted. Wooju had forgotten about the sudden change in her friend's behaviour when she skipped over to meet her brother and Sooyoung who had accompanied him. Sooyoung was a good friend to Wooju and seeing her after such a long time made her excited.
"Are you okay, Eunhye?", she asked as she shook her friend's shoulder, who looked up to face her. Her lips were formed in a cute pout and her cheeks were in a scarlet hue. She was indeed drunk. But the difference between her and Inha made Wooju chuckle. Inha was a chaotic drunk and Eunhye was....a cute drunk?
"I'm...fine. J-just tipsy.", Eunhye flashed her a shy smile as she had trouble formulating her words.
"Okay. I need to get you both home. Whom should I call? I don't even know where you both live! Eunhye....help me out. Please. What should I do?!", Wooju cried in exasperation.
"Call...Hus..band. My huubbyy.", Eunhye suddenly chirped. As soon as it happened, Wooju was shocked at the sudden news. But she knew Eunhye was secretive about herself for some reason so she wasn't so affected. The golden band shining on her ring finger confirmed it after all. Without wasting any more time, Wooju sent a quick text to the number saved as 'Mr.Husband' on her phone.
"What about you, Inha sunbae??", Wooju sighed as she looked into Inha's phone. A certain contact making her raise her eyebrows as she looked more closely.
"I need to puke.", Inha sat up in a panic as she wobbled away from there making Wooju follow her in worry, leaving Eunhye there all alone.
"It's so hott.", Eunhye murmured as the air around the small restaurant suffocated her. She abruptly got up and timidly walked out in search of fresh cool air. On her way, she bumped on a hard surface making her whimper.
"Eunhye?", the deep raspy rumble made her look up as her eyes met with familiar brown orbs that drown her every time she looks at it.
"Taeee...?", she asked, trying to look closely but all that soju was messing with her nerves. With all her surroundings rotating around, she only stumbled forward, bumping her head on the hard surface of her husband's chest.
Gaining her balance, she wrapped her arms around his frame, inhaling his spicy scent which calmed her as the fabric of his shirt cooled her heated cheeks. She sighed in the comforting embrace, nuzzling her cheeks in the soft, cool shirt which smelled so damn good.
"I'm sorry...", she whimpered as her voice trembled upon remembering all the past instances between her and him. She didn't want to be an object of hatred and disgust for her husband. It hurt being hated by someone she wanted to love for the rest of her life.
"Please don't hate me..."
