The rising of the hero of vengeance

Part 10

No POV 

A few days have passed since when we last saw our group of protagonists and over the few days, we saw that they were currently living their lives like normal people before the next wave of catastrophe hits. 

We see them going through the markets as people nervously stayed away from the group while they get any necessities that they needed along with the occasional treat to indulge themselves on. 

Next we see Raphtalia getting her hair cut by Naomi much to her displeasure before seeing the end result which brought a smile to her face, While Uzaki was getting her hair brushed by Y/n seeing as she refused to have her hair cut, a look of bliss on her face from the feeling of Y/n's warm hands gliding through her hair as she buried her head into his hands 

The next scene shows Y/n and Uzaki sitting at the Tavern's Bar having a drink together while Morrigan sat close by, watching the two. Meanwhile, We see Naomi, Raphtalia, and Lilith all sitting at a table as Naomi and Raphtalia both ate their meals as they shared idle chatter

The next scene shows them at night time, Naomi crafting more medicine in order to treat Raphtalia's sickness While Y/n was busy working on maintaining the girl's dagger for future work 

The next scene then changes to the morning where Raphtalia was being hugged by Y/n as she softly cried into his shoulder while Naomi just stared in disbelief at the wet stain on the young Demi-human's bed before she sighed and gently rubbed the girl's head to calm her down

The scene changes once again to them selling medicine to the town's doctor before the group were once again back at the Inn eating their meals before switching to a later time in the day where we see Raphtalia slicing an enemy in half before it dispersed as Naomi watched her

Naomi: "Alright, I think we can go further into the forest with Y/n and Uzaki now-" 

They were cut off however, when from the bushes, emerged a small rabbit with a health bar above it's head as it glared at the two protagonists 

Naomi: "An enemy...rabbit?" 

The rabbit then lunged towards Raphtalia who was frozen in shock before Naomi quickly got in the way and stuck her arm out, the rabbit quickly changing targets and latching onto it and tried to pierce her skin but to no avail due to Naomi's high defense  

Naomi: "Kill it Raphtalia! Go on, quickly!" 

Raphtalia hesitated at the command as she had never fought an enemy that bleeds before and she took a step back 

Naomi: "Go on, what are you waiting for?!" 

Raphtalia: "But I can't...It'll bleed if I stab it!" 

Naomi: "Raphtalia!" 

Raphtalia: "I...I hate blood!" 

Suddenly, Raphtalia's slave crest began to spark as she fell to the ground in agony due to disobeying an order as Naomi decided to use 'tough love' to convince her

Naomi: "Listen up and listen good, If you can't fight then I'm not gonna take care of you anymore, you got me?" 

Hearing this, Raphtalia gasped in shock as Naomi continued

Naomi: "There's a wave coming that could end everything! Unlike Y/n, I have to get as strong as possible before we're all wiped out!...But defense is all I'm good for, I need someone to fight for me since Y/n can't join my party because I'm too low of a level for him. If you can't, I'll find someone else, Understand?!"

Raphtalia: "You'll both fight the waves of catastrophe?" 

Naomi: "We have to, that's our job"
