The rising of the hero of vengeance

Part 14

No POV 

The chapter begins the day after our protagonists visit to the church and run in with the other heroines that were summoned to this world and today, we find ourselves in the middle of a large courtyard with various other adventurers as they prepared for the big wave that was only mere minutes away from starting. 

We spot Y/n who had kept his true appearance on show for all to see as he yawned and stretched from tiredness, seemingly unfazed by the fact that most of the people he stood around, weren't going to see the next day. As he finished his yawn and rubbed his eyes, he was approached from behind by Uzaki who was dressed and holding his sword 

Uzaki: "Hey master, you forgot to grab this" 

Y/n turned to see Uzaki holding his sword for him and he smiled as he grabbed the sword and removed it from the scabbard his smile only growing as he looked at his own reflection in the freshly cleaned and sharpened blade 

Y/n: "It looks almost brand new, did you clean this, Uzaki?

Uzaki: "Yep, I figured you'd want to have a ready blade when the fun begins so I woke up early and got to work on sharpening it" 

Y/n: "Is that so? Well, you did an amazing job, thank you Uzaki" 

Uzaki: "No problem, now, when is this thing starting? I'm itching for a fight!" 

Y/n: "I'm not sure really, Why don't we find Naomi and Raphtalia? They'll know for sure" 

Uzaki: "Oh, I already know where they are, follow me" 

Grabbing Y/n's hand, Uzaki then started pulling Y/n through the crowds of adventurers until they came across Naomi who stood there with a small smile on her face as she looked at Raphtalia before spotting Y/n and Uzaki and visibly sighed in relief 

Naomi: "There you two are, I was getting worried and thought you ditched us" 

Y/n: "Wouldn't dream about it, so, when's the wave beginning?" 

Naomi: "20 seconds, I hope you're both ready" 

Y/n: "I'm more than ready for this fight, it's not the first time I've gone through a battle like this" 

Uzaki: "I was born ready, don't worry about me, you just focus on keeping this little squirt safe" 

Uzaki gave Raphtalia a pat on the head as she said this, which got the young girl to blush from embarrassment as push her hand away, despite the wagging tail that said otherwise as the three of them shared a laugh at her expense before a bell was heard and the sky grew red, catching everyone's attention

Y/n: "Show time" 

With that, a golden glow surrounded everyone before they were enveloped in a bright light and transported to the edge of a cliff overlooking a forest 

Naomi: "What the-where are we?!" 

Naomi then heard Raphtalia gasp and the group of four were all now looking up into the sky as they saw a large aurora borealis-like portal in the air, allowing thousands of demons to invade this world and causing Y/n to whistle 

Y/n: "Now ain't that a sight to see" 

Naomi then spotted the other Heroines rushing towards the monsters to engage in battle and Naomi pointed in the same direction they were heading 

Naomi: "Come on, we've got to get going-" 

Raphtalia: "Look over there, the village of Lute!"

Looking in the direction that Raphtalia was pointing towards, they saw that the village was indeed close by and under threat of a demon invasion
