The rising of the hero of vengeance

Part 23

(MFW 23 parts and I'm only up to episode 7)

No POV 

We begin this chapter early in the morning and some time has passed since we last saw our heroes. We see Y/n was currently taking the reigns this time, Raphtalia sitting in the back with everyone else, a majority of them still sleeping while the only ones who were awake were Ghislaine and Naomi, the latter of the two was examining one of the many bottles of herbicide in their wagon. The reason for today's expedition being that a village required it as fast as possible 

Naomi's attention was drawn away from the herbicide in her hands, when she heard the voices of Y/n and Filo up front 

Filo: "Mistress, the plants here are amazing!" 

Y/n: "Holy shit..."

Hearing their voices, both Ghislaine and Naomi both moved to the front of the wagon as they saw that the entire path to the village was covered with unnatural vines that flocked towards the village walls 

Naomi: "Oh my god, they really do need tons of herbicide. Filo, get us up there as quick as you can!" 

Filo: "Here we go!" 

With that, Filo took off down the road in the direction of the village while the vines made it extra bumpy, waking up the others in the process before the scene then changed to show them inside the village and having delivered the Herbicide as the village chief spoke up

Chief: "I don't know how to thank you enough. This place was about to fall prey to all the vines too!"

Raphtalia: "What about burning them? have you tried that?" 

Chief: "Certainly. We've tried everything we could think of!"

As the chief spoke to Naomi, Y/n could be seen walking towards one of the vines that were reaching over the wall and touching the ground before he grabbed his whip and set it ablaze before striking the plant, causing part of it to be reduced to ash while the rest retreated back over the wall 

Y/n: "What in the hell could have caused all this?" 

A scream could be heard echoing throughout the village from outside the walls, getting everyone's attention and as the Chief spoke more to Naomi, she then turned to Filo and called out to her

Naomi: "Filo! Find the other adventurers and bring them back to us" 

Filo, who was still in bird form, was currently stuffing her face with some of the fruits that the vines produced before she nodded her head and spoke her her mouth full as she then took off, leaving the village and running down the road before time skipped forwards and she had returned, dropping three alive but unconscious adventurers on the ground rather harshly 

Filo: "There were plant monsters all over the place. Some of them even spat poison or acid or something at me. Why would these guys go there when they're so weak? They must be stupid, you know what I mean?"

Raphtalia: "You really didn't have to say that last part" 

Y/n: "It is true though" 

Raphtalia: "Even if it is, it's still rude"

Filo: "Huh?!" 

Raphtalia: "Don't 'Huh' me" 

Thus began the back and forth bickering between the two while everyone else watched on, the villagers in shock upon hearing Filo talk due to her still being in bird form 

Villager: "That bird, it talked!"

Villager 2: "That has to be the Heavenly Fowl!"

Villager 3: "The Savior of the Heavenly Fowl has come to our village too!"
