"Y/n it's time to get up!" A voice shouts right in my ear.
I jump up out of bed, not so gracefully falling on the floor with a loud thud. "Oh shuck I'm so sorry!" I realise that it's just Minho.
He grabs my arm and helps me back up. "Don't worry about it. What time do we start?" I question.
Minho looks at his watch, "In about ten minutes I'd say." He casually flops his arm back down to his waist.
"Ten minutes?!" I repeat, hoping I heard him wrong. There's no way I can get ready in ten minutes!
"Yep, so you better hurry up now." He laughs. I rush out of the room, grabbing a change of clothes on the way which Minho laid close to the door for me.
I hurry and get changed before running over to the kitchens. Minho is already there... How's that even possible?
He smiles at me, "Come on slow poke. Get some food down and grab a couple of sandwiches for snacks."
I take that as my cue to grab a handful of food which was already on the table and shoving it into one of my large pockets.
I grab some more and try to eat them but Minho interjects. "You ready now y/n?"
I look down at the sandwiches in my hands, "I was just going to eat this first-" I can't get a word in before Minho interrupts again.
"There's no time for that, you should've gotten up earlier. Come on, you can eat when we're in the maze."
I let out a quiet sigh, guess I'm not going to have breakfast then. I nod my head, following Minho's orders. I follow him out of the kitchens and we head to the maze.
I can't help but make eye contact with Gally right before we enter the maze. Now I'm up close with it it's a little daunting. There's no turning back now though, I suppose.
Gally must have noticed my uneasiness as he gives me a small, reassuring smile. It's nice to know that he still cares about me.
There's no time to ponder about Gally as Minho has already taken a few steps past the entrance.
I pace behind him, catching up to where he is. It wouldn't be a good idea to fall behind in a place as big and confusing as the maze.
He turns to face me, "You got your notepad and pen?"
I check in both of my pockets, rummaging around until I find what I'm looking for. Eventually I find it and pull it out, holding it in my hand.
"Great start. Make sure you record everywhere you go, otherwise you'll get lost straight away." He pauses.
"This is how we discover new places, by memorising and mapping when we've found anything new." I nod my head, making sure to take this all in.
Minho takes in a deep breath, "Right, let's go then." He starts off at a nice pace, slowly building it up overtime so he doesn't push me too far too soon.
I follow in his paths, making sure to stick close to him. I start to pant a little louder and unevenly now, how can he do this without any breaks.
I push myself further and try to stay hot on his heels but I'm finding it barely possible.
We turn another corner for what feels like the hundredth time, haven't we already been here before? I begin to grow a dazed by the whole thing, unable to focus on anything.
I breath more rapidly, hoping to get mor oxygen into my lungs. I have no choice but to pretty much gasp for air.
I stop running for merely a few seconds to regain my strength, but Minho immediately notices. "Y/n you can't stop for breaks! Rule number one: don't stop running. What do you think that means?"
I shake my head, "I'm sorry Minho," I pause for a breath, "I just need to have a moment."
Minho looks around, checking for any signs of danger but he still seems uneasy. "Look y/n we can't stop! It's not safe, just run a little further and we can have lunch, alright?"
There's no way I'm going to win this one, so I just bite my tongue and try to pace myself again.
We are able to get past a few more corners until I start to feel dizzy again. I try to ignore it but it's impossible. A tidal wave of sickness courses through me. If I don't stop right now I'm going to throw up.
My legs start to tremble, not being able to support my body anymore. I take a few more steps before my body turns to jelly and I collapse on the floor.
"Shuck y/n are you okay?!" He rushes to my side but it's not use, I can't move. My sight starts to get blurry and I have no control over my body.
Instead, I let the darkness take over me.
