Chapter 12

Gally looks at me infuriated, I shouldn't have said anything. "I'm gonna kill that shank!" Gally shoves past me causing me to take a few steps back to regain my balance.

I rush to Gally side, placing one of my hands on his chest hoping this would calm him down. "Gally please leave it! He's not worth it, you'll be in more trouble than you already are!"

Gally, however, completely ignores my words and barges past me again. "I won't let him get away with this y/n. You're mine, not his."

I grab ahold of his shirt, which was clinging to his chest. "Gally please don't do this, for me! I don't want to see you get hurt." Eventually, he looks into my eyes and sees my distressed plea.

He exhales loudly and relaxes his body slightly. I immediately wrap my arms around his body, hoping to comfort him in any way possible. "Only for you." He whispers, raising his hand up to stroke my hair soothingly.

We stay like this for a long time before we hear a crunch of leaves coming from behind us. We pull away from each other and look around to see Newt standing there."Alby wants to speak to you both."

Gally lets out a huge sigh, "This is going to be fun." I send him a small smile before gently grabbing his hand, leading him in the direction Newt came from, Newt tagging behind us both.

We locate Alby fairly quickly, finding him in one of the huts. But, so are all the other Gladers. Great, a council meeting.

My eyes immediately find Thomas sitting down, looking uncomfortable. Alby walks up to Gally, "Would you like to take a seat?"

We both sit down next to each other, so I can give him as much support as he needs. Alby walks to the middle of the circle that has been formed.

"Gally, you have broken a number of rules which I am sure you're aware of. Just incase you're not, let's identity them." I don't like where this is going.

"Firstly, you attacked and caused harm to another Glader, which is wholly unacceptable to start with. Then you practically admit to being in a relationship with another Glader, another thing we don't allow."

Punishment for both of their things on their own probably wouldn't be too nice, never mind them both together!

Alby continues, "We have all discussed this with the other Gladers and have come to an agreement with your punishment." My stomach churns, oh god what's he going to say?

"Seeing as you have never broken the rules previously we will simply give you the punishment of being locked away until you've learned your lesson."

Gally nods his head in understanding straight away, "Of course Alby, thank you so much for understanding!" I look to see Thomas' reaction, his face is distorted in anger.

"That's not fair Alby!" Thomas shouts. Everyone turns around to look at him, "He could have killed me but you're letting him get away with it!" I wish Thomas would just shut up now. For his own sake.

"There is a downfall to this deal though." My stomach tightens, what has Alby got in mind? Gally has a look of confusion on his face, patiently waiting for Alby to continue.

"Gally, unless you want banishment you will have to end your relationship with y/n."
