For about a week now I've been instructed to stay in bed, which sucks. Gally keeps on visiting and checking up on me though, guess he's waiting till I can get better so I can get back to work.

I hear a knock on the door, and Jeff enters the room. He does a routine check up on my leg to see if it's fixed. "You look good to go now y/n, just make sure you don't work too hard." He continues "I bet Gally won't let that happen though" he smirks and winks at me.

I let out a sigh and head for the door, exiting so I can find the builders and start working again. I spot Gally as he rushes towards me. "Woah, woah take it easy! Damn you're a little soldier aren't you" For some reason this makes me smile and blush a little bit. He does the same which gives me butterflies in my stomach. Ugh, what is this boy doing to me? "Jeff said I can come back to work now... So here I am" I say as I look up at Gally, who seems astonished.

"Right then... Err... You can do a couple of small tasks then I guess. I don't want you getting hurt again." Wait, Gally actually cares about how I am? Since when has this happened?!

"Why the sudden change of mood?" I blurt out, feeling my cheeks go red at my sudden outburst.

"No reason, I still don't like you. You've missed hours of work, which means that we aren't gonna finish stuff as quickly." Gally says monotonously.

I release a huge sigh. Of course he doesn't actually care about me, how stupid could I be. All he cares about is work.

We both hold eye contact for a little too long and he's the first to break it and look away, "Just get to work." He walks off to go moan at some other Builders.

I spot another Builder who seems to be repairing the roofing of some buildings. I decide to go and join this guy. I walk up to him and say a simple "Hey."

The boy turns around hastily, as if he wanted to get somewhere quickly. "Oh, uh... hey." Not much of a talker then I can see.

I try and make conversation, "Gally told me I need to do some small jobs, I was wondering if you needed any help?" I offer. The boy takes a minute to think about his response, he obviously doesn't talk to people much then.

As I wait for his response I take the time to notice how blond his hair is. Damn, does he dye it or something? The sunlight is literally bouncing off it!

However I can't stare for too long as the boy finally comes up with something to say, "Uhh sure, I guess you can help out. Why don't you go to Chuck and pick up some straw for thatching."

I immediately head off, not wanting to spend one more minute in this awkward conversation. He seems a little odd to me, but I guess I shouldn't be one to judge.

With no time I find Chuck cleaning out some stables, absolutely covered in klunk. Lovely.

"Hey Chuck!" I exclaim. But Chuck obviously didn't know about my presence so instead jumps out of his skin, falling over in the process.

"Shuck, don't do that!" He groans, unpleased with me scaring him.

I laugh, "Sorry Chuck, it was an accident!" He only shakes his head in response. I lean forward to give him a hand up which he grabs onto and I pull him up.

"You literally scared the klunk out of me!" I look up and down at his appearance.

"Looks like you've already done that!" He only glares at me from the corner of his eye, obviously not appreciating my witty humour.

"What do you want?" He questions.

"I've been sent here to pick up some straw for thatching." Chuck nods his head and leads me to the back of the stable, where all the straw is messily thrown onto the floor. I say a simple, "Thanks Chuck." and grab a huge handful of straw, then head back to where the boy was.

Today is gonna be a long day.
