"I ain't gonna hit you Shortie. We ain't like that. Bitches hit women, I personally" he winked "stroke'em" causing me to blush. His hand finished it's journey, and moved some strands of my hair, that came out of my ponytail when that man grabbed me, behind my ear. "You havta be the most exotic and erotic women i eva seen in my twenty years of liven Shortie." His eyes traveled up and down my body. Making me blush redder.Strange, i felt good in his arms, i had this pull inside me telling me to kiss him, while my brain was saying "your retarded, run, why are you still here? Their a GANG for heavens sake!"
"Veronica!" Oh shit, that's my mom. I moved out of the mans arms, I feel cold now, weird.
"I'm coming momma!" I yelled out so she knew I was ok. "I have to go now. I can't thank you all enough for saving me." I smiled at them all, lastly looking at my sister, "you can get my number out of the yellow pages." I looked toward the man who caught me "as for you, i hope to see you again." I said smiling.
I ran off, stopping to pick up my bag of goods from the store and taking my rubber band out of my hair, back toward the apartment building. I could see my moms head poking at the window of her room on the top floor looking for me. God, i hope she didn't see me walk out of the alley, I'm not one to keep things from my mom, i trust her with everything. But ever since my 'father' became a target of other gangs, she has become, well really overprotective of me and the girls.
"Over here, i'm here momma." The look of relief on her face made my heart squeeze in my chest. I couldn't imagine my mom always worrying if she'll one day be with one less daughter, or worse.
Someone taking her away from us.
