After the small incident, Kian realised that he couldn't take his eyes off his daughter for a second.
He had to keep a watch on her twenty four seven to ensure she wasn't harmed in the slightest.
He would feel beyond guilty if anything happened under his watch.
So for the entirety of the meal, he never took his eyes off of Kiara.
It was only when Rowan light heartedly teased him for being so overprotective that it was brought to his attention but never the less, he continued to do so whilst the little girl happily and obliviously dipped her chips into the pile of ketchup and smeared half of it across her face.
Kian thought it was utterly adorable.
He smiled to himself in complete adoration as her chubby cheeks became more and more red with each mouthful she took.
She was so content, eating her favourite food in a trance. Just like her father, Rowan thought.
That's the reason Kian hadn't initially been paying much attention to what Kiara was doing before she burnt her hand.
He was too busy drooling over his meat feast pizza and shovelling a slice into his mouth, just as oblivious to the spot of tomato he managed to get on his nose.
Rowan had to cram his own pizza into his mouth to suppress his own fond smile as he watched his clueless brother worriedly observing his cute niece.
Rowan tried not to laugh at the scene infront of him. They both looked like two peas in a pod.
Even once Rowan had spoke up, Kian still glanced sideways to watch Kiara every other second.
Rowan reminded Kian that he'd have to leave them alone and get some sleep soon as the premier of his new film was tomorrow and he had to leave early to meet his manager and stylists.
Rowan already knew that it wasn't an option for Kian to attend and support his brother as they had planned. He promised him that he'd handle things for him and keep their manager off his back before they even considered enlightening her on the existence of Kian's child.
Rowan didn't miss the flash of doubt and worry that crossed his little brother's face as he announced he'd have to leave them alone.
"Don't worry Kian you're doing absolutely fine. Just remember to feed her and make sure she doesn't hurt herself. That's all that matters for now okay?" Rowan assures his brother in a softer tone.
Kian's shoulders slump slightly as he relaxes at his older brother's words.
He was right as always.
So long as she's safe and looked after, nothing else matters.

"Dada I'm full." Kiara patted her puffed out belly with both hands dramatically.
