A/n. Okay so I was really feeling a new Tempest update but I realised that by the time I post this I'll have hit one hundred fucking K reads so I had to hop on here and say thank youuu🥺. It took so much for me to hit that on Navi so I can't believe we're already here but as always I appreciate it the most ❤️

"Well, I thought you'd be happy about this... neighbour." Kian bites back with a grin knowing full well he just dropped a massive bomb on Kelly and so casually too.

Kelly reels back and holds her hands up, going all out with the dramatics just as Kian had expected.

The kids in the mean time are to their sides, happily munching on their pasta dish at the table, the only danger for the well behaved children being that they may choke on their food if they don't stop giggling at the funny faces Jace pulls to entertain the smaller ones.

Kelly and Kian were standing over the breakfast bar eating their own for no good reason at all.

For Kelly it was some motherly instinct that kept her on guard and on her feet when she knew she had to take care of usually two, now three young ones.

She simply didn't have it in her to sit and restrain herself.

This unhealthy habit was evidently rubbing off on Kian since he was stood on the opposite side of the bench nearest to Kiara.

"Wait...hold on a fff...lipping..."

Kelly stops and tilts her head as even more puzzle pieces continue slotting into place.

"No you did not! Kian. Wiley..." her tone is dangerously low and her brows furrowed in warning.

"Trust you to do the single most spontaneous, idiotic thing I've ever heard of! That house has already broken records! It's been a work in progress for months and planned for years even, and you waltz along and buy it the week it is set to be finished and sold! Please please tell me you're joking!" Kelly explodes at last, gaining curious glances from all three kids at the table.

Kian's face drops and he bows his head, his eyes flicking from hers in sadness.

"Don't you want to be neighbours? I just...I thought it would be fun for the kids you know?" He bites his top lip showing nervousness due to the suddenly tense confrontation.

"No! No Kian it's not that." Kelly softens, letting out an exasperated sigh since Kian is taking her outburst the complete wrong way.

"God, you know you're like my little brother and it would be so cool to be neighbours. What I'm trying to say is-"

Kian cuts her off with a wide, taunting smile, unable to keep a straight face any longer.

He giggles and shakes his head while Kelly's own expression morphs back into one of pure fury.
