Jay's P.O.V.

I heard Hayley get up to go to the toilet at like 3 a.m. I had a very terrible idea. I snuck out into the hall and crouched by the door. She opened it and I grabbed her ankle from the darkness. She screamed like full on screamed. I was laughing so hard. Missy and Aaron came running downstairs.

"Jay you're an ass hole," Hayley yelled as she started repeatedly smacking me.

"What's happening? Are you alright?" Missy asked. I was still laughing while Hayley smacked me.

"He grabbed my ankle," Hayley said.

"I thought it was serious," Missy sighed.

"It was serious. I nearly had a heart attack," Hayley said as she smacked me again. Aaron laughed.

"Oh for gods sake just go back to bed," Missy told us.

"Yeah Hayley," I said. She stuck her tongue out at me and stormed back into her room.

"You as well," Missy said.

"It were only a joke," I told her.

~next morning~

I got up and dressed and went downstairs.

Missy's P.O.V.

Jay walked into the room and I realised that he had a tash drawn on his face. I thought about telling him but then I remembered what he had done to Hayley. Aaron looked at me and raised his eyebrows. I shook my head, signaling him not to tell Jay.

"I'm off," he said.

"Bye," I said. As soon as he left I couldn't help but laugh.

Jay's P.O.V.

"Nice tash," Miss Carter said to me when I had arrived at school. I pulled my phone out and opened up my camera.

"Hayley," I yelled as I saw her run into school. I ran after her. She was laughing.

"Sorry. I thought Missy would of told you," she laughed. I pulled her into a playful headlock.

"Jay Booth let go of her now," the fun police, a.k.a. Mr Shah, yelled.

"What let go of my girlfriend sir?" I mocked.

"You know that was an accident," he said.

"What like you?" I said loud enough for Hayley to hear. She laughed.

~at lunch~

"Err what is that?" Oliver asked.

"That's a moldy orange," Kiaan told him.

"Oh look it's Shah," I said.

"Dare you to throw this at him," Oliver said as he passed me the orange. I threw it and it hit him perfectly on the back of the head. Everyone was laughing. He spun around and looked directly at me.

"JAY BOOTH!" he yelled. I got up and ran inside. He followed me. I spun around a corner straight into Missy and Nas.

"JAY BOOTH GET BACK HERE NOW," Mr Shah screamed.

"What have you done?" Nas asked.

"Err I threw a moldy orange at him," I told them. They both laughed.

"You're a little twat," Missy laughed.

"Aha there you are," Mr Shah yelled.

"Sir what's that?" Missy asked and she pointed behind him. I sprinted off. I turned another corner straight into Miss Keane.

"Jay?" she asked.

"JAY BOOTH!" Mr Shah yelled.

"You're not going to tell him where I am are you Miss?" I asked.

"Go on I didn't see you," she said. I carried on running. I spent all of the last lesson hiding and went home at the end of the day. I wasn't caught surprisingly.

~next day~

"Morning Birthday girl," I said to Hayley when I came downstairs.

"Morning," she said, "And I swear if you say how does it feel to be 16 I will murder you."

"Well if it annoys you that much I won't," I said.

"Right we better get to school," Missy said.

"I will give you your present later," I told Hayley. I got up and walked to the door. Just as I was about to leave I turned back.

"Oh one last thing, how does it feel to be 16?" I asked and then I ran out the door.

~after school~

I had spent the day in isolation after yesterdays incident with Mr Shah. I got home and helped set up for Hayley's party. It seemed that most teenagers in Ackley were there. I'd invited a few of my mates.

"Alright?" I asked Kiaan.

"Yeah man," he said. Everyone was dancing and drinking.

"Happy Birthday," I said to Hayley and I gave her the present. It was some make up thing she wanted and I'd spent ages saving up for it. She unwrapped it.

"Oh my god! No way!" she squealed and she pulled me into a hug. Saleem was the DJ so it was mostly decent music choices. I had quite a few drinks but no where near as many as Naveed. He was so drunk it was crazy. He couldn't even walk in a straight line. It was crazy in our living room. Everyone was dancing and yelling. Naveed came in the room, tripped and fell over the speaker. The music cut out.

"Whoa!" everyone yelled.

"What you doing?" Aaron asked. Aaron grabbed Naveed and pulled him up by his shirt.

"You're making a nuisance of yourself," Aaron shouted.

"Woah! Right, you're out. Riz, Cory! Get him out now!" Missy shouted. Riz and Cory pulled him out the front door. The rest of the night went pretty smoothly apart from when some lad spilt punch all over the carpet.

I woke up the next day and I felt like I had been smacked around the back of the head with a sledge hammer. I slowly got up and walked to school.

~at lunch~

I was waiting in line for my food and I saw Mr Hyatt with some woman.

"Emma, sweetie, how are you?" the woman asked and she did that thing were you kiss on the cheek without actually kissing on the cheek.

"Hope I didn't keep Rashy out too late? Didn't banish him from the martial bed, did you?" she asked.

"Oh, no I was sparko by the time he got back. Wasn't I dear?" Miss Keane asked Mr Hyatt.

"Yeah," Mr Hyatt laughed awkwardly. I couldn't believe that Mr Hyatt and Miss Keane were dating.

"Oooo lala, Miss," I said. I laughed.

"Just get your food Jay," Miss Keane told me.

"You not getting anything? He fill you up to much, does he?" I asked.

"Jay would you like a detention after school today?" Mr Hyatt asked.

"Nah I am fine sir," I said and I hurried off.
