Lisa tried to stop taxis but to her luck, none stopped causing her anger level to rise a few degrees higher and hate the city a bit more. Undoubtedly, Lisa had seen too many rom-coms for which she knew what to do next, if it was a movie the scene would have focused on her and the everything around would be blurry. This was definitely going to be the craziest thing she had done in a while. She tightened her ponytail, clutched onto her suitcase's trolley handle and took a deep breath before she started to run in the middle of passersby. She was pushing and shoving people which was surprising given her delicate form, and she didn't have time to apologize for her lunatic behaviour.
Her heartbeats were in sync with the ticking of the invisible clock in her head that she didn't hear the loud thud until someone held her hand from back and turned her over to show the mess she created. She started to bow and apologize for dropping the stranger's takeout. At this point, this little trouble had managed to accumulate a crowd. She genuinely felt guilt and was about to pay for the damage when the stranger suddenly asked, "Are you by any chance Lisa?" . She was baffled for a moment, so it took her a few seconds to respond,"Yes, I am". Something was definitely wrong with the stranger as he pulled her into a hug and smiled so brightly as if she just had not dropped his food.
"I'm Baekhyun'', the man introduced himself and had an offended look on his face when she showed no signs of recognising him, "I'm your old neighbour and friend if you still consider me one." Her mind was on the bus she was going to miss, yet she tried to be as friendly as possible saying, "It was nice to meet you , hope we'll meet again." She had no time to sit down and chat with this old friend; She had a bus to catch which she definitely would not be able to, but at least she would have the satisfaction she had tried. "Lisa, really? Is this how you treat a friend whom you met twelve years later?", Baekhyun started complaining to which Lisa paid no attention and simply stated, "I don't have time for your dramatic ass right now, I've gotta catch a bus in less than fourteen minutes I think." He was dumbfounded, finally realising, "Doesn't it take more than forty minutes to walk from here to there?" She decided to keep it short to avoid further time loss, "Yes, it does according to Google." She was about to walk away when he interrupted again asking, "why aren't you taking a taxi?" She glared at him nothless replied, "I couldn't get one, genius ". "Fuck!', he cursed taking her hand in a tight hold before participating for marathon, in simple language he started running to the opposite direction of the bus station.
After running for like thirty seconds, both were out of breath standing in front of a sports car kinda looking car which she couldn't name. "Get in! Fast",Baekhyun ordered in a half shout tone. "My suitcase?", she spoke breathlessly while making some weird hand gestures hoping he understood her question. He snatched it from her hand and threw it in the backseat while gently shoving Lisa on the passenger seat.
"Fasten your seatbelt, we're in it for a wild ride", Baekhyun winked holding onto the steering wheel. Lisa should have called Sehun before boarding, at least she could reminisce about it in her ghosthood; She was sure she wasn't going to make it alive to Bristol as the speed at which Baekhyun was driving it was impossible for them to get out alive. She even begged for forgiveness if it was due to her ignoring him earlier, to which he only chuckled. She even narrated her life story to him so that someone knew all about her before she breathed her last. She was clutching onto the roof handle for life, she almost curled into a ball. Baekhyun had the courage to tell her to stop being so dramatic, when he was driving at a speed of 180 mph!
The car halted for which Lisa couldn't thank her lucky stars enough both for stopping and reaching the destination. Victoria Coach Centre. Baekhyun smirked and informed her, "I'm a professional racer". She should have guessed that seeing his driving techniques, well she was busy praying for her life.
She checked the time she had almost six minutes to catch the bus. She thanked him saying he was a devil in disguise, also she would catch up with him on sns. She hugged him one last time and walked faster than normal pace. She didn't run this time. She quickly bought tickets, calmly took her seat and hoped for a journey with no more hindrance.
