To Hulburry we go

Dusk's POV

"Oh my gosh why is this bridge so long......." I say annoyed.

"Cause it goes over the wild area which is pretty big" Piers says walking next to me.

As we make it to the end of the bridge as an eldegloss floats by and start walking to Hulburry.

"I already smell seafood." I say.

"Same..... I'm kind of hungry." Piers says.

"Me to. I heard from my grandma that there's seafood place here that's really good." I say.

"Then let's go. I'm hungry." Piers says.

As we walk through Hulburry the smell of the ocean and seafood hit me all at once. It reminds me of when my dad would bring me to Hulburry to go fishing. We would come once a month and we'd spend the whole day fishing by the lighthouse. Of course, we haven't done that in a long time. When mom died dad picked up a job as an international pokemon researcher. He travels across every region researching Pokémon. I haven't seen him in a while, but he does write me letters a lot.

"Earth to Corym.... you, ok?" Piers asks.

"Oh, sorry yeah just thinking." I say.

"Ok. Here's the restaurant you mentioned." He says.

"Great I'm starving." I say.

We go in and eat and just talk about random things.

"So your from Spikemuth?" I ask.

"Yeah... I'm actually gonna be the gym leader soon but that's only until my little sister is old enough to become gym leader." He says.

"That's cool." I say eating.

"Your from Wedgehurst?" He asks.

"Yep. Professor Magnolia is my gran." I say.

"Cool so like did you get named after a tree?" He aske:

"Sadly yes..... my full name is Dusk Corymbia. Corymbia is another word for a lemon scented gum or spotted gum tree..... but I prefer to go by Dusk." I say.

"Well is it at least a cool tree?" He asks.

"I guess it has white or pink bark and it produces fruit and white flowers and the wood smells like lemons." I say.

"See it's a pretty cool tree...." Piers says.

"Yeah right.... you keep this between us I'm trusting you." I say.

"Ok..... Corymbia." He says chuckling.

"You suck." I say.

"You have to admit it's funny." He says.

"It's not." I say as I stuff my face with food.

"Well anyway you ready for the water type gym?" Piers asks.

"Nope. I am at a complete type disadvantage. Dratini can hold his own for a little bit, but Houndour would get knocked out pretty fast and toxel isn't that strong yet. Eevee may be able to tank some hits though." I say.

"None of my pokemon have a type advantage but I'm not at a disadvantage either." Piers says.

"Well aren't you lucky." I say with a sigh.
