( ps: I changed the name. Old book title: 'Cold (Kaneki x Reader)' )

I woke up to a loud 'ding'!

I mumbled in response and reluctantly grabbed my phone on the side of the table.

And, woah.

56 messages from Kaneki.

I narrowed my eyes and looked at the spam.

Hey (F/N)

are you awake?

oh.

it's 6am

of course you aren't going to be up

are you coming by the coffee shop

I bought a new sweat shirt

come by the coffee shop near 11am

me and Touka want to see you

And on and on. I wonder why this boy has messaged me so much, I mean, we had just met. Well, these visions are saying that's wrong.

I jumped out of bed and did my morning routine. I had finally gotten done and ran downstairs, bumping into my mother.

"Just getting up?" she asks in a monotone voice. You nod in response, grabbing a few bucks for when you head to the cafe.

"Where are you going?"

"To Anteiku to meet Kaneki and Touka," I say, stuffing the money in my pocket.

Mom was sipping her coffee as she heard this and instantly looked like she was going to spit it back up. I gave her a questioning look.

"(F-F/N)! You remember Kaneki and Touka?!" she blurts.

"Uh...I barely remember either of them... why?" I ask, completely curious.

She sighs and looks down.

"It's nothing. Go to them," she said. She added quietly, but just enough for me to hear "Especially Kaneki-kun."

People were treating you different around Kaneki. It was like they were always sad, even that douche face Nishiki.

I entered the cafe and and smiled at everyone in sight.

"(F/N)! What would you like today?" Touka asks. She seems... cheery... that's scary.

"Uhh..." I started to blush for no explored reason. "I'll go have a seat..."

She smiled and followed me to my seat. Okay, she's really creeping me out.

"Why are you so cheerful Touka-chan?!" I blurt out. She really is creeping me out.

She kept smiling.

"I'm not aloud to tell you," she says, putting her pointer finger on her lips. "Kaneki's orders." She winked and just wrote down my normal order.

I swear my heart just skipped a beat at the mention of his name. And what does he have to do with this so cheery Touka?

-x-

I had been sitting at the cafe for a bit. It's been at least three months since I met up them Touka and Kaneki again for the first time in forever. I talked to a few of the Anteiku workers, and some people who passed by. But my mind always drifted off to a certain attractive white haired boy.
