with my first book I thought that I wouldn't even get passed 1k reads and it took that book like almost a year to get 8k reads so I, for one, assumed that this book wouldn't get much reads but wow I didn't know there were so many Kaneki/Sasaki readers out there and I'm just like wow over 300 people have this book in their library and that makes me feel really happy omg thank you all. it's just some ppl are like me and are too busy reading other fanfics to read mine bc we are lazy pieces of shit. yep I feel you bro.

anyways now that my touchy-feely speech is done, I dedicate this chapter to DesertButterfly bc she helped me with the idea ^_^ ty bae

"I'll start dinner!" Tooru hummed. She shooed us out of the kitchen. Now it's me and Sasaki in the living room. How awkward.

I glanced at him to see he was looking at me. I averted my gaze and crossed my arms.

"Thanks for letting me know about your girlfriend," I said coolly.

He looked at my like I was crazy, then I could feel him look down. Now I feel like a bitch. But hey, I'm not the one cheating on him.

"Today's my birthday," he said.

"What? No it's--"

"(F/N) hush Tooru doesn't know about it and I changed my birthday, hush," he said and avoided my gaze.

"Well okay then. Happy birthday I guess," I said and averted gaze with him as well.

We sat in an awkward silence.

"(F/N) please stop being awkward."

I turn my head in his direction with a scowl.

"What do you mean I'm being awkward?!" I say rather loudly.

Sasaki waves his hands up and down to quiet me.

"I'm not the one being awkward! Well yeah of course it's going to be awkward because you're cheating on me!" I whisper-yell.

"Supper's ready!" Tooru rings. Ugh that high pitched girly voice again.

Sasaki looks at me and stands up, heading for the kitchen. I glare at him and follow after. I walk into the kitchen and wow.

This is a dinner.

There are varieties of foods, drinks, and deserts. I felt my mouth start to water at the look of this dinner.

I skip over to the table and sit next to Tooru. She may be so happy and cheery but damn. She can cook.
