That day.

The day that he left me.

Left me to go do business.

You may think that he left as in breakup, but he left me to go do his ghoul business. We never broke up.

Ever since that day, my heart has been weighed down. That day three years ago.

Three years.

I've remembered everything in that time being, but I miss him.

I don't give a shit that he injected me. I don't give a shit what his reason was.

I miss him.

Everyone at Anteiku misses him.

I miss him the most.

I want my Kaneki back.

I need my Kaneki back.

"(F/N)!"

My eyes focus again and I'm brought back into the real world. My thoughts make me depressed.

Hinami sighed. "You're thinking about him again aren't you?"

"He left you when you were 14! You're 17 now, and you're still not upset?" I ask. My heart weighs my voice down. The only happiness I've found since he left was Hide and Hinami.

"Of course I'm upset. But what if he's..."

"Don't even say it Hinami. He's not dead," I said and covered my face. The tears have escaped.

Hinami held me close. She softly brushed my hair with her fingers and breathed quietly. I found it rather comfortable.

After I regained myself, I sniffled and wiped my face with my arm.

"Geez I need to start acting like my age," I said and put on a fake smile. Hinami let out a little chuckle.

I let the smile drop and stared at the ground. Suddenly a familiar scent blasted my nostrils.

Is that... coffee...?

Apparently Hinami smelled it too. She gave me a questioning look.

"Uh... have you been making coffee? It's only 4pm.." she said and stood up.

"I know... I swear I had my doors locked," I said and walked into the kitchen.

The coffee maker is on, but there's no one in here. I panic and think there's an intruder.

"Hinami get out your kagune," I said. She nodded and brought out her kagune. I grabbed a knife and nodded at her. We started walking around the house and checked every room. No one was there.

"There's only the basement left," she said.

"I know," I scolded and inched toward the door.

I opened the door and quickly hid behind it. It's really dark down there.

"Uh.. uhm who's going first..?" I asked. She rolled her eyes and walked into the basement. She turned on the light and looked around the room.

"No one," she said and put her kagune away.

I sighed in relief. At least no ones here. But something had to have started the coffee.

"What if it was a ghost?" she asked.

I let out snort of amusement. "Yeah okay," I said.

She glared and we went back to the coffee maker. There are two cups sitting in front of it.
