Seven - Relief

Y/n POV

"The prettiest girl you've ever seen? I think Jisoo is prettier than me. Don't you like her? You two seem to be pretty close." I asked Mark.

"Me? Like Jisoo?" he starts to laugh. Did I say something funny? What the hell..

"Y/n, Jisoo's my cousin. You think I like my cousin? Ew, she already has a boyfriend anyways."

I gasped and I turn to face the window, to hide my embarrassment. "Ah, you're so cute when you're embarrassed." he chuckles. 

"I'm so sorry I made an assumption like that. I really didn't know you two were cousins, please forgive me." I apologized. 

"What do you need to apologize for? It's okay, you didn't know." he ruffles my hair and parks the car in the hospital parking lot.

*Time Skip*

Mark dropped me off home, and I wave goodbye as he drives off. I enter my house to see a worried Jungwoo oppa in front of me..

"Are you okay? Mark texted me about what happened to you. I can get that evil witch expelled from the school to keep you safe-"

"I'm fine, just a few bruises and minor cuts-"

"Minor cuts?! Girl, she used a pocket knife to cut you on your chest. How big is the cut?"he asked.

I show him my cut, which is kinda deep, that it's going to become a scar. It wasn't that big of a cut. It was the size of 2 small paper clips. 

He rambled and lectured me about safety and how I need to have someone walk home with me for now on. He offered to buy me some of my favorite snacks and drinks to make me feel a bit better. We're both watching Netflix, until someone rung our doorbell.

I was about to go get up and answer the door, but my brother beat me to it. He opened the door, revealing Mark. 

"Hey, is y/n okay? I just wanted to check up on her?" Mark asks. Jungwoo let him in and Mark sat next to me on the couch. "Are you feeling better?" he asked me with concern in his eyes.

"Yes, I'm doing okay. Bruises still hurt, but it's fine." I gave a weak smile. He pats my head. 

"Great to hear you're doing okay. Uh, I'm going back to school this upcoming Monday. Oh, and y/n?" Mark turns to me and I look at him. "I'm sorry you had to go through hell when I was gone..I wish I were there to protect you from Lisa." he looks down at his lap. 

"It's okay, but you really shouldn't have picked a fight with Jungkook. You didn't have to defend me like that. I could've handled him myself in a different way-" 

"I had to fight him, he said terrible things about you that weren't true and it pissed me off to the point that I wanted to fight for you. I fought him because I love you.." he mumbled the last part, but you still heard him.

"Mark, I understand you'd do anything for me, but some things I have to handle myself. Like Lisa and Jungkook, they're my problem, not yours." I grabbed a cookie and munch on it. 

"I know, but I just want to help you. If I let you deal with them yourself, you'll get more hurt and not just physically, but mentally too." he did have a point, I thought. I sighed, getting his attention. 

"Fine, you can help me. Don't try fighting Jungkook because he's not worth your time. You'll get suspended again, and I don't want that to happen to you." 

*Time Skip*

Author POV

You and Mark are walking to school. A month has passed and you haven't seen Jungkook OR Lisa at school.. 

"Mark, do you know what happened to Jungkook and Lisa? I haven't seen them around.." you asked.

"Jungkook switched schools and Lisa got expelled and switched schools as well. Why are you worried about them?" he looks at me, furrowing his eyebrows.

"N-nothing, I was just curious." I look at my feet and continue walking. A sense of relief took over you when he said that. You could finally not worry about what could happen to you at school everyday.  You both arrived the school campus.

"Guys, there's this new transfer student!" Jaehyun runs up to us. "Yeah, and the girls keep saying he's handsome and hot." Johnny says, walking alongside Jaehyun. 

These dudes -_-  you thought.

"They say he's in our first period..maybe we can befriend this guy." Jaehyun suggests. "Hmm, doesn't sound like a bad idea." you say and you four walk into the classroom.
