"MEAT BUNS! MEAT BUNS! MEAT BUNS!" Chanted Noya, Tanaka, and Hinata as the rest of the team approached Coach Ukai's store. Asahi tells them to quiet down as Daichi enters the shop. For the few minutes Daichi has been gone Noya has already gotten ancy, bouncing off Kinoshita and Narita.
"SO, does anyone have a date for tomorrow's dance?" Suga asked the team in an attempt to calm Noya down.
"I mean you all know I'm gonna go with Kiyoko!!" Tanaka called out.
"Bro, that's only if she says yes." Teases Noya.
"What about you Noya? Aren't you jealous Tanka is gonna shoot his shot with her?" Ennoshita asked with hesitation, not wanting to provoke the already hyper boy.
"Oh.. um," stuttered Asahi, "Noya and I are actually going together." Suga smiled and congratulated the boys. "I'm happy you finally got the balls to ask him out Asahi," He added. Noya's face flushed a dark red and searched for a way to change the topic. Just then Daichi walked out the store holding the meat buns.
"FINALLY!" Yelled Noya as he runs up to Daichi and grabs himself a meat bun along with grabbing an extra one for Asahi. Thankfully the conversation was dropped when Daichi passed out the rest of the meat buns. The crew started off in the direction of thier houses. One by one, each group member headed their separate ways until it was just the first years, Tanaka, and Nishinoya. They walk for a while until Kageyama and Hinata break off from them and start walking towards Hinata's house. The group glances at one another when Yamaguchi speaks up and asks, "Hey Kageyama? I thought your house was that way."
"Oh yea! It is, but we do movie night every week!" Hinata explains. Tanaka and Noya look like they are about to explode while trying to contain their laughter. Hinata looks at them questionably but Kageyama turns away out of embarrassment.
Noticing this Tsukishima decided to tease him, "Y'know Kageyama that seems awfully like an activity couples do." Yamaguchi elbows him and glares at him, silently telling him to be nice. Kageyama's face flushes pink as he stutters, "W- what do you mean?" Somehow Kageyama's face turned even more red.
"Like YOU can talk 'Tsukki~'," Tanaka cackled, "you never leave Yamaguchi's side."
"That's different," he retorts.
"HOW?? If anything you two should be a couple."
"Yeah!" Noya joins in, "Yamaguchi is like the only person you tolerate. You are so in Love~". Tsukishima's starts yelling at them to shut up while avoiding eye contact with Yamaguchi. Yamagucuchi tries to look at Hinata for help but Kageyama starts pulling him away.
"We'd really like to stay but we have a movie to watch! Have fun, you love birds!" Kageyama chuckled. The two boys can still faintly hear Tsukishima arguing with Noya and Tanaka as they walk away.
Time skip to Hinata's house
Kageyama's pov.
Soon we arrived at his house and got the living room ready. He says Natsu is in her room and shouldn't bother us. As I start making popcorn we argue over what genre to watch and he gets a call.
"Sorry it's my mom I have to take this real quick." he says.
"No worries take your time," I reply.
"What mom? No. But- it's movie night! Ugh fine sure mom I'll be there soon." I wonder what that was about. 'Be there soon'? Be where?
"Sooooo Kageyama... I hate to do this to you but do you think we could cancel movie night tonight?"
"I mean we can but why?" I question him.
"Well my mom needs help picking up party decorations for the valentines day dance tomorrow and normally that'd be fine but Natsu is here and I can't leave her alone and...". He starts rambling and it's actually kind of cute. wait. WHAT?? Why did I just think my best friend was cute?
"Uh Kageyama?" Hinata asks, knocking me out of my confusion.
"What? Uh sure." I replied, not really sure what I just agreed to.
"Wait really!! I didn't think you'd actually agree. Thank you Kageyama, you are the best!!"
"Oh uh.. no problem?" I just stand there as he calls Natsu down and explains that I'll be watching her the next few hours. Yea I'll be watching her for the next few hours.. WAIT that's what I agreed to?? Oh no I'm not good with kids. They get one glance at me and burst out in tears.
"Hinata I Don't Know if-," I try to tell him but he cuts me off.
"Thank you again Kageyama! Oh and make sure she does her homework." he tells me as he pats Natsu's head. He hugs me then he leaps out the front door, "Have fun you two! I'll be back soon!"
"Uh bye I guess?"
