The Valentines Day Card

Chapter 5

Kageyama's pov.

It was pretty early when I headed over to Hinata's house so I was hoping he was awake, or at least his mom was. I can't believe I left some of my books there yesterday. I didn't even do work over there and by the time I realized I left them it was too late. Thankfully I see some lights on at their house so I go up to the door and knock. I'm kind of surprised Hinata answered the door since he usually sleeps in, he is in his pajamas still which is cute-

"Tobio what are you doing here?" My thoughts were immediately interrupted by that.

"W- what?" I stuttered. Get it together man.

"thought you said I could call you that yesterday.." He remembered that? Oh boy I could just feel my face heating up.

"Oh yeah it's fine. It just surprised me is all".

"So.. what are you doing here so early?"

"RIGHT! I accidentally left some of my books here yesterday."

"I see, come on in".

I step inside and see my books set out on their table. I walk over to pick them up when Natsu interrupts me, "TOBIO!! What are you doing here??". Wow she finally got my name right.

"Tobio just left some books here so he came to pick them up," Hinata explained to her, "why are you smiling like that Natsu?" A grin formed on her face as she started dragging me upstairs. Hinata looked just as confused as I did but Natsu said she had to show me a drawing from yesterday.

"It's just for Tobio you can't see it Shoyo!!" she yelled while pulling me the rest of the way to her room.

It was a bit odd but I didn't think too much about it till she pulled out the card I wrote for Hinata yesterday. How did she? I must have accidentally left it here yesterday. I hope Hinata didn't see that'd be totally embarrassing.

"Don't worry I hid it from Hinata!" What is she, a mind reader?

"How did you-".

"That doesn't matter~". She starts shoving me out of her room with an even bigger smile now. "Y'know you should really ask that guy you like to the dance!" She ran off and went to talk to their mom. Does she know it's Hinata? Does that mean he likes me back?

"Hey mom can Tobio come over for the dance to get ready with Shoyo?" Natsu asked her mom.

"Sure honey if that's ok with him!" Her mom replied and looked over at me.

"I'm fine with that," I felt bad after seeing her so excited about the card. I guess she also helped me pick out the suit so it's the least I could do. And with that Hinata was done changing and we headed to school.
