Conversation Stopper

I get home and run inside. "mom..mom..Mom....MOM!! I yell. She runs downstairs finding me jumping up and down. "Are you okay Honey?" My mom was scared. " I'M GOING TO THE SCHOOL DANCE WITH TADASHI!" My moms mouth drops to the ground. "OH MY GOODNESS!!" She then joins me in my Jumping. I stop out of me losing my breath. My mom then takes me in for a hug. "Your growing up so fast...your father would have loved to be here." I start to tear up, because my dad couldn't be here to join in our jumping group. She lets go, and goes back to what ever she was doing. I was so excited for the dance I decided, the best way to make the time go by faster was to sleep on it. I go upstairs and throw on my pajamas: my minnie mouse onesie. I guess I'm still a little girl inside. I check my phone for any messages and see one message from Tadashi. I fumble with my phone trying not to drop it. I get a hold of it and open it up. "I'm coming at 6:45 SHARP!" :) It read. I smile. Tadashi always knew how to do that. When I was feeling blue or just having a bad day, he would always cheer me up. I love him. I was suprised because usally school and education is always before boys. Or at least thats what my dad said. But I never met anyone like Tadashi, he was special. I set my alarm clock and try and get some rest.

I wake up in the morning, only to see that Its 8:30. "SCHOOL STARTS AT 7:30!". I jump out of the bed and throw on any clothing I see. None of my colors matched but I didn't care today. I tell my mom goodbye. And hop in the car.

I run into the school building nearly breaking the door. Trying to gather all my papers together, I do the thing I hate most. Where I unexpectedly bump into Merissa, starting a conversation. "Hey weirdo". We smiles deviously. "Really?" "What do you want?". I was starting to get really irritated. "Fine, soo were you going to the dance." She looks at her friends then turn back to me. "I am actually...." I put confindence in my voice.

"Oh.. so you must be going alone?" She seemed surprised. I was at first too. "No, I'm going with T-Tadashi." I give a slight smile thinking that I toped her. "Oh, so are you the 5th chick?" I give her an confusing look. "You really don't think, Tadashi going with you because he likes you?" "What are you talking about?" Regret starts to fill in my heart, "why did I ask that?" "Tadashi is one of those "can get every girl" guy, if I were you I wouldn't trust him." Now worry fills in heart, fills up my lungs choking me. "Just do us both a favor and don't show up". I realize she was probably just saying this to keep me away from Tadashi. "I'm going to the dance." I stand firm with my final answer. " Fine. But you'll regret it." She gives me a stern look then turns away. I wasn't worried about her. I mean what could she do? Nothing was going to spoil me and Tadashi's night.
