Uncle Severus glares at us. "Which one of you would like to explain where you went at this hour?" He already knows. I lower my head in shame. "It's my fault, Uncle Severus," I say. Professor Lupin clears his throat. "Perhaps, we should discuss this in the morning.. You all look very tired," he says. Uncle Severus nods slowly. "...Detention for all of you.. You may go." None of us object as we nod. We start to walk away. "Not you," Uncle Severus firmly says. Without even looking, I already know he's talking to me. I sigh, not looking up at him. The rest of the group walks out of the Astronomy Tower leaving me with Professor Lupin and Uncle Severus. "Ellie, I was worried about you. That's why I went straight to Severus.. I'm glad you got back safely," Professor Lupin says. He feels bad for telling Uncle Severus.. He saw us leaving on the Marauders Map.. Man, they've been waiting at the Astronomy Tower for hours.. I nod.

"I'm going to make sure they all get back to their dorms safely.. Severus, go easy on her. We're lucky none of them got hurt," Professor Lupin tells Uncle Severus. Uncle Severus doesn't say anything. I slowly look up at him. His eyes are fixed on me. His skin is boiling. He's so angry. Professor Lupin gives me a soft smile and turns to go. "Professor!" I call him. "Nathan was hurt.. and his wounds from before aren't completely healed.. Can you make sure he's alright?" Professor Lupin rubs my arm gently, nodding. Then he leaves. Uncle Severus stares at me furiously. He doesn't speak. "Uncle Severus, you have ever right to be mad.. but I just couldn't sit still.. And I know I shouldn't have risked bringing them with me," I say, sighing. I pull out the notebook. "We got it back." Uncle Severus takes the notebook from me. "I will be keeping this," he states. I nod. I lower my head, waiting for him to scold me.

Instead, he lets out a sigh. Grabbing my arms, he pulls me in for a hug. "Don't you ever do something like this again," he says softly. I nod, embracing his hug. We pull a part. "This doesn't mean I'm not furious.. You're grounded," he says firmly. I smile softly. "You can't ground me here.. I'm at school," I say. Uncle Severus thinks for a moment. "Hmm, is that so? I think differently..  From now on, you will be under extra supervision. You must let me know where you are going when you leave the castle. And your detention will be longer than the others." I groan. "Uncle Severus, that's a bit too much, don't you think?" I ask him, whining. "You should have thought about that before you went into the Serpent's Head to get back the notebook." I raise my eyebrow at him. "How do you know where we went?" He scoffs, shaking his head. "You forget you're not the only Legilimens here. I saw everything through your friends' minds." I nod, rubbing my neck nervously. "Everything?" "Everything," he responds firmly.

"Finn," he calls. Finn slowly peers out of my pocket. Uncle Severus holds out his hand for Finn to climb on. "You have also lost your Bowtruckle privileges." My heart stops. No, he can't do that!  "Uncle Severus!" I whine. Finn chitters intensely, trying to convince Uncle Severus to change his mind. Uncle Severus looks down at Finn. "My decision is final," he firmly states. I sigh. Finn turns to face me. His eyes sad. "It's okay, bud. Uncle Severus won't be able to keep you away from me for long," I quietly say to him. He smiles, chuckling. I pet his head. "Come on now. I'll walk you back to your dorm," Uncle Severus says. I nod as I follow him out of the Astronomy Tower.

The Easter holidays are just around the corner. The teachers had given us much more homework than usual. "You call this a holiday?! The exams are ages away!" Seamus cries furiously. I sigh, nodding with him. I catch a glimpse of Hermione who is working restlessly. She has it worse. Ron nudges my arm. "Hermione is overwhelmed with homework and Harry is too occupied with extra Quidditch practices and Oliver's lectures.. Uh- do you want go to the library to find information for Buckbeak's appeal?" I sigh. "I wish I could, but I have to go see Uncle Severus." Ron shakes his head. "I thought your detention was over last week?" Ron asks, confused. "The rest of theirs are. Uncle Severus extended mine," I say disappointingly. "Blimey Ellie, what did you do?" I bite my lip nervously.
