'It's up to you and it's up to me.
No one can say what we get to be.'

The whole Gryffindor team and a couple other Gryffindor students stand in the hospital wing, soaking wet and covered in mud. "He looks a bit peaky, doesn't he?" Ron asks us as we all hover over Harry's unconscious body on the hospital bed. "Peaky? What do you expect him to look like? He fell fifty feet!" Fred exclaims. "Yeah, c'mon Ron, we'll throw you off the Astronomy Tower and see what you look like," George says, grinning. "Probably better than he normally does," Harry says quietly. He slowly opens his eyes. "Harry!" I say. "Are you alright?" Hermione asks him. Harry sits up as he puts on his glasses. "Brilliant," he says. "You gave us quite a scare there, mate," Fred says to him. "We thought you died," Katie says shaking.

"What happened?" Harry asks us. "You fell off your broom, mate," Ron tells him. "No, what happened with the match?" Harry asks. We look around sadly. Harry sighs. "We didn't lose?" He asks nervously. "Diggory caught the snitch.. just after you fell. He didn't realize what happened," George says. "He tried to call it off. Said he wanted a rematch, but they won fair and square.. Even Oliver admits it," I tell Harry. Harry glances around the room. "Where's Wood?" He asks, realizing Oliver wasn't here. "Still in the showers. We think he's trying to drown himself," Fred informs him. Harry groans as he places his head between his knees.

"Harry, don't beat yourself up for this. It's not your fault," I tell him, trying to reassure him. "Listen, there's still a chance. It's all about the points. If Hufflepuff loses to Ravenclaw and we beat Ravenclaw and Slytherin, we still got a chance," George says, thinking. Harry sits quietly. "We should let you rest," I say, ushering the team that we should leave. We wave bye to him, leaving Ron and Hermione with him. As we head out, Madam Pomfrey huffs disappointingly at the mud prints we leave behind.

It's a quiet Monday evening. I sit with Leo and Nathan in the library. "That game was wicked. How is Harry doing?" Leo asks me. "He's fine. He spent the weekend in the hospital wing, but he's okay now," I tell them. They nod. "Those dementors had no right on the field. Professor Dumbledore was furious," Nathan says. "Didn't Harry receive the Grim in Divination? I mean I usually don't believe in those stuff, but Harry really seems to be having bad luck this year," Leo states. He always seems to have bad luck. "Not to be disrespectful to Professor Trelawney, but Seers are very rare. They hardly exist," Nathan says as he opens his book. Little does he know, he's friends with one. "Right," Leo says, glancing over at me. "So, um I received another letter," I say, trying to change the subject. Leo and Nathan stare at me eagerly.

"So I heard," Alexander says as he sits down at the table. Allison sits down annoyed. "You heard? From where?" I ask him, ignoring Allison's behavior. "Professor Snape mentioned it to me," Alexander says. "So what did it say, Ellie?" Leo asks me. I glance over at Nathan and Allison. How do I say this without them asking questions. "Uh, well whoever M is, they know that we're trying to figure out who he/she is," I tell them. "Bloody hell," Leo says in disbelief. "What exactly is it this M person wants from you?" Nathan asks me curiously. Good question. I have no idea. "I'm not sure," I say. "Well what did the letters say?" Allison asks. I look at her. "Uh, well M claims to know about my past," I tell them. Leo's eyes widen trying to tell me that I shouldn't give them more details. "Isn't that a good thing? Now you won't be an orphan," she says with a smirk.

"She's not an orphan!" Alexander says, surprising all of us. "She has a family." "Professor Snape found her off the street, she's an orphan," Allison tells Alexander. Alexander grits his teeth. "He raised her. He took her in. She's not an orphan," Alexander states. "He's right. Besides, she's basically a Scamander. My parents see her as their own. She has a family," Leo adds. Alexander points at him and Leo. "We're her family." Allison scoffs. "That's really sweet and all but I was talking about blood relatives. If M knows about your past, I don't understand why you're not trying to find out about it," she says. "Because obviously they don't know if M is telling the truth or not," Nathan says to her. She glares at him, obviously not forgetting their last argument. "Either way I have no way to contact M," I say before Allison and Nathan can argue. "That sucks," Allison says. She leans back in her chair and crosses her legs.
