"Euphie almost died. I almost had to go through that alone."
Y/N looks at the man in front of her. His mouth is open and hes speaking, but she can barely hear him. She looks over his face, his eyebrows are furrowed and his eyes look sad.
"Y/N," Tom's tone is straight and sharp, "what happened to Euphie?"

(REFERRING BACK TO CHAPTER 3)
THREE YEARS AND SOME MONTHS AGO
"Y/N L/N?" He asks. The doctor stops in front of the woman, their eyes
"Yes, is Areum okay?" She's hopeful, her eyes are glowing at the thought of holding her child again. Her baby girl. Her only daughter, Seren's only sister. Euphoria, Areum, needs to be okay. The doctor looks at the seat across from Y/N's, he pulls it closer and sits down. his legs are spread, his arms rest on his knees, making his posture dip.
"She's stable now." The breath Y/N releases turns into a soft sob, tears of relief letting her breathe normally again. Her baby is safe. "Her lungs are almost fully developed, but there was access mucus which caused her to stop breathing. Her heart had stopped, but we were able to start it again, as far as we can tell there's no permanent damage and she should develop normally."
Jin wraps his hand around the woman's at the good news. Even though she's crying a lot, there's a relieved smile on her face.
"We're going to keep her for twenty-four hours to keep check on her. She'll be able to be released tomorrow morning. You'll be able to see her in a few minutes."
"Thank you." She replies.

NOW
Y/N explains the hours she spent with Seren in her lap, waiting to see if her child would ever leave that hospital again. It was the worst day of her life. For months after, she had moved the twins' cribs into her room for them to sleep in there.
The thought of Tom never meeting his daughter because she had died haunted him. It had only been a few weeks, but he loved his kids endlessly, even if they don't know he's their father. There was no way he'd be able to never think about them again, There's no way he would be able to go long periods of time without seeing or talking to them again.
"Y/N..." Tom just pulls her into his arms, not knowing what exactly to say. How are you supposed to comfort a mother that almost lost their child?
They stay like that for a while longer before Y/N speaks up, "I'm fine now, we should go. Before we freeze." Tom suddenly remembers the rain drops trickligng down his neck, underneath his jacket, soaking into his clothes and skin.
"Yeah," Tom lets go of her, "we should."
The two pick up their umbrellas and make their way to the street, hauling a taxi. Tom stands a few feet away, ready to see the woman off and get his own. Y/N Opens the door and looks at the man, "You coming?"
Tom smiles and gets in the taxi, Y/N following after. Tom watches as the woman speaks Korean to the driver, leaving him mesmerized for the millionth time. It wasn't like he wasn't used to it by now, but it left him feeling some way.
The ride back to the house was relatively silent. When they had gotten back Jin made a fuss about being in the rain and gave the two towels and tea. Y/N had changed and Jin reluctantly gave Tom a pair of Namjoon's sweatpants and a shirt. Tom sat in the kids' room, playing with toys and talking.
"I speak English for you." Euphie says, a few pauses throughout.
"She's been practicing a lot." Seren says, playing around with the batteries of the car Tom had given them.
"For me?" Tom points to himself, a large smile on his face.
Euphie nods giggling, "For you!" she then picks up three dolls and hands one to Tom.
"You want me to play with you?" The little girl replies by nodding and handing him a doll. "Of course! What's her name?"
She hums, smiling before giving him her name. The girl then gives Seren one of the other two dolls.
Y/N watches from the doorway, the three play together, and they look happy. Y/N focuses on Tom, he's holding Euphie's favorite doll, the one she only ever gives to Y/N. A pain forces its way into Y/N heart, even though she tries her hardest to fight it off.
Euphie turns around toward the doorway and smiles, "Mom! Play!"
"Okay." Her voce cracks, but theres a reassuring smile on her face. Convincing mostly herself that she's okay.
She joins the group, taking one of Euphie's other dolls from the ground. She joined, Euphie casting her as the queen, the wife of the king, Tom. Euphie was a princess, of course, and Seren a prince.
Hey.
I'm in English right now :) I am not paying attention. I'm supposed to be preparing for a socratic circle, but I had to turn in formal notes so I don't actually have to. I have two tests today, a French test and a math test. I'm not thriving, At all. I just have to get through today and all my homework though, and then I'll be free for break next week. I also have to learn everything that's been going on in bio and chem, maybe not as much chem, but at least bio. Why do we have to memorize 53 parts of a cell? Why? WHY? Im so excited for this week to be over, it's been hell.
I also recently learned what princess aesthetic is. I recently also became obsessed with princess aesthetic. It is the most beautiful thing.

I finally watched wandavision, I'm excited to watch the episode that came out today later tonight. It's really good, I like it so much.
