EDWARD CULLEN
I sat in the passenger's seat next to Bella in her Ferrari. She lifted her sheild and thought 'When do you think Chloe will be turned?' I thought for a moment and shrugged. "I'll tell Alice to watch her future." I said while she nodded. I chuckled as she tried to tell me a joke in her mind. She scowled and I realized I've never seen her scowl at me. Now I know where Renesmee gets it from. Not to mention she squeezes the bridge of her nose as do I. I shook the silly thoughts away and focused back to what was on my mind. Chloe. I thought of any vampires around here but there were none. I thought about the vampires who were out to get us, but they were all dead. It has to be a stranger. If Chloe starts dying, Bella and I will probably make the decision, considering she's our daughter now. And of course I'd have to say yes because I can't let someone innocent die. Not to mention it would break Renesmee's heart for Chloe to be gone. But if only I knew how she's going to die then we could stop them and there won't be another turned human. I looked out the window as we arrived at school. We got out and Alice ran over to us. "The cloud cover is going to move on in about an hour. Should we leave now or risk leaving later?" Alice asked then looked up to the sky. "I guess we could leave now before anyone arrives." I said as she nodded and ran to the others. We got back into the cars and drove back to our home. Once in the driveway I was Esme's car gone and a note on the door. I jumped out of the car and ran to the door. I grabbed the not and it said 'I took the girls to go shopping and get makeovers. -Esme' I smiled then Alice walked over. "Why'd you just jump out of the car? You scared Bella almost to death!" she said in her high voice. I laughed and said "This is why." I then lifted the note high in the air where she couldn't see or reach. Bella ran over and said "Why did you do that? You scared me." I reached out for her with one arm, still holding the note high up in the air away from Alice. Everyone else laughed as Alice jumped up and down for the note. Then they left us and went to the living room. I still held the note high above Alice's head. Carlisle drove up in his car and said "I was done early, and it wasn't busy." he looked down to lock his door. Then he looked up and said "What is the meaning of this?" he pointed at me and Alice and I just chuckled. "One minute. Bella." I said as Bella walked over. "Can you take Alice far enough away so she won't hear? Or you can ask Emmett to if you don't want to." I said and she laughed her eyes focused on Alice jumping up and down. She grabbed Alice and lifted her and held her like a baby. She ran out of sight and I said to Carlisle "Esme has taken Renesmee and Chloe shopping and for makeovers. That's what the note says." Carlisle laughed harder than he ever has. Alice then ran over and snatched the note. She darted for her room and Bella walked back to me. "Sorry, she escaped because I loosened up. I thought you were done." she said. "Oh it's fine." I said to her over Carlisle's bursts of laughter. Alice ran back out with the note in her hand. "They went shopping? WITHOUT ME?!?!?" she yelled and started to pout. Then everyone laughed and soon enough Alice joined in.
RENESMEE CULLEN
We put all out shopping bags in the trunk, filling it to the top. At least we didn't fill the whole as Alice would have done. We got in and Esme drove towards the beauty parlor. We got out of the car and the guys with their girfriends or wives or if they were single stared at us, almost drooling. The girls stared in envy at us then back at their boyfriends or husbands to scowl. We walked in and a girl with short, blonde hair and green eyes said "Hello, how can I help you? I'm Marcia by the way." "Nice to meet you Marcia. I'm Esme and these are my daughters Renesmee and Chloe. I would like to give these to manicures, pedicures and makeovers including hair. Chloe how do you want you hair done?" Esme said. "Um, could I just have a perm so it's almost like Renesmee's?" Chloe asked looking between us. I smiled as Esme said "Sure of course. Are you keeping the color?" Chloe nodded and Marcia showed us to two chairs in the back and a third chair for Esme to wait in. We sat down and Marcia started with Chloe. I watched as she did her hair then her nails. Then Marcia came to me. "What would you like done?" she asked. "I just want my hair washed and a mani-pedi please." I said smiling. Marcia rolled my chair to one of those uncomfortable sinks and asked me to lay my head back. "Could I have a towel to lean on? The sinks hurt my neck." I said and she nodded and grabbed a towel. I lay back again and she washed my hair. She then did my nails and went back to Chloe. She took off Chloe's towel/cover for her hair and Chloe's hair was just like mine but black. Her hair was as glossy as mine. We walked out and as usual everyone was staring with mouths wide open. I smiled to myself as we got in the car. Esme drove fast home and when we stopped Chloe asked "How much money did we spend on clothes?" Esme smiled and then said "About, three thousand dollars." Chloe's jaw dropped and she started hipervenilating. "Calm down Chloe please. Money is like paper to us. With Carlisle being a doctor and Alice seeing the numbers for the lottery, we don't really mind." Esme said patting her back. "O-gasp-kay." she said breathing regularly again. We spent the rest of the day talking or sitting in the living room with the rest of the family.
