Mabel and the two other girls spent a lot of time talking about themselves. I felt slightly out of place when I realized that these were rich girls.

Mabel Gleeful being the richest girl in the country. Probably.

Candy Chiu being semi-rich (as Mabel so delicately put it) Her dad was a bigshot CEO. That's where her money came from. Not like I even asked.

Grenda was slightly different. Her family worked high up in some company, making her pretty rich as well. Also, she was super buff and perhaps Mabel needed a bodyguard.

There was absolutely no way I could fit in with these girls save for the fact that I did indeed have money. Except, I made it all on my own. These girls probably did't have to lift a finger.

"Mabel, you're going to have a big girl's sleepover soon, right?" Candy asked, sipping on the milkshake she had ordered.

"Hopefully." Mabel nodded. "I'm still working out the details, the theme being a main part of that process."

"Your slumber parties have themes?" I echoed, confused. I thought slumber parties had a theme already.

Candy rolled her eyes at me like I had just asked the world's most stupidest question. "Of course, although I wouldn't expect you to know that, newbie."

"Well, yeah. She's new." Mabel snorted. "How about this, Pacifica, you're invited to my next slumber party."

Candy blanched, giving me a little bit of satisfaction. "Really? Her? Doesn't she work for you?"

Mabel pondered the thought. "I mean, if my family wants to purchase the golf course, then I suppose she does work for me. But, seeing as we don't just yet, she doesn't really work directly for me."

I gave Candy a small grin. Take that!

"Geez, Mabel, where is your brother?" Grenda asked after about ten minutes. "Wasn't he on his way?"

"He was." Mabel mused.

"I really hope he shows up." Candy sighed dreamily.

"Right, I nearly forgot that you're obsessed with him." Mabel rolled her eyes, laughing all the while.

"Why?" I asked before I could stop myself.

The three girls looked at me, shocked.

Mabel sighed. "Right, you're new. My brother is what most girls would describe as 'hot as f--'"

I blocked her words as best I could. "Is he really, though?"

Candy scoffed. "I wouldn't dwell on it too much, Patricia."

"Pacifica."

"He's only interested in me." Candy stated in a snarky tone. "So, I don't think you'll have much of a chance."

I nodded. To be honest, I was never interested in the kind of guys who had all the girls in the palm of their hand. But, to be fair, I hadn't even seen this guy yet.

Great. Another mystery boy.

Mystery boy. . .
