Long Long Distance

 Ye Jin was recovering well , for the first week their daily routine has changed. On her second one , she started to go for longer walks for her mobility to get better. She was still not allowed to carry heavy stuff and so Bin had to monitor her closely because like him, she can also be stubborn.

Bin had arranged a video for his fans that he will be missing some personal appearances due to his personal commitment. KKT, his manager was trying to work things out with some of his other  events. So far he missed 3 shows for movie promos only . Bin also advised him that he might give himself time to settle things in Jeju. KKT and him worked for several years and this is the only time he asked his manager this kind of  break. In fact , if he were to decide, with all the other property that he invested over the years he can afford not to work anymore.

Ye Jin was contemplating hard , she just couldn't go on with Bin always pampering her. She wants to be able to stand on her own and do what she loves doing, aside from helping her father. She is a software engineer and she wanted to start getting back and plan to help her father on weekends. One afternoon,  Bin was busy with a zoom meeting with VAST and so she took her time applying for jobs and she was able to find a role for Software engineer  for Kakao, in Jeju city. Starting pay was 59,143K.

She quickly submitted her resume and applied and  was really praying hard she will get it because first, it's in Jeju and she will be earning more aside from her father's small business. That evening, it was only her and Bin for dinner since her father attended his friend's birthday and Yun Sun went with him since the grandkids of that friend are his childhood mates. Ye Jin wanted to cook and Bin was hesitant, and so they agreed to meet halfway. Bin prepared the meat and veggies and cooked rice too . They made beef short ribs and steamed veggies. 

" Let me try cooking , I need to get back to my normal Bin-ssi, for almost 3 months now you have seen how  active I am right?  "

" I trust you, I just feel like I need to watch  over you, I hope you understand. " He gave her a hug from behind and buried his  head on the crook of her neck.  " I  want to stay here for the rest of my life now.  Maybe it's time to retire from K-ent." 

Ye Jin gave a deep sigh, and decided to turn around and cupped his face... 

" Baby, this job has always been for you. You made so many people smile over the years, including me.  Hearing your voice, watching you sing and act is such a stress reliever... but hey, whatever makes you happy go for it." 

" And here with you is the one that makes me happy." 

" Hmmm... look, I am happy with  what we have, but I want you to think about this . Leaving this profession may not be easy, try to talk to other friends first who went on hiatus, hear them out  and also you need to talk to your manager a nd Vast right? "

" I will, as soon as I fly back.. for now I am your ultimate care taker and bodyguard ok? "

" Also that, Bin, please trust me, I will be ok.  I want us to go back to the normal. Me working with Appa, and you in Seoul. It would make me sad to be away  from you, and I will miss you but we can always meet  and we can work things out." 

" We will definitely  meet up all the time and like I said, I committed to this and  I will do everything for us to be together all the time. " 

 The following day Ye Jin received a call  regarding the role she was  applying for Kakao . They have asked her if she can be available for  interview anytime for next week.  She gave her word and chose to keep it from Bin until she gets it. 

" Baby Pyung, I have an appointment  next week  ok. I just need to  see a friend. " 

" No problem, I will drive for you."
