You were forcefully woken up a you hit the bottom of the truck floor. You groaned in pain as you sat up, rubbing your now sore side. You rubbed your eyes, clearing the tiny specks of crust that clouded the corners of you eyes. You looked around, checking your surroundings.
'It's night time', you thought to yourself as you looked out the tiny window you wre provided. You looked out longingly as you passed the scenery of the forest. The majsetic trees that towered above the forest, the luscious berries that bloomed from the bushes scattered amongst the ground, the variety of animals that passed by to their homes and dens, and the beautiful river that glowed a calm and peaceful color, reflecting the moon's radiance. You sighed, wishing you could be a part of the forest scenery around you, frolicing to and fro with your mother. You moved away from the window and sat back down in your previous spot.
" Where am i going? Is all this even really nessacary?", you thought to yourself, thnking about the possible reasons as to why you were the target and how they found your location.
Before you could think of any other possible reasons, you heard rusiling noises come from behind you. You froze, fearing that someone else was in the truck with you. Your fingertips began to tense, preparing a spell that might defend you against the unknown guest.
You turned around slowly, making yourself aware of your target. The potato bag you had fallen asleep on earlier began to move slightly, as if it were alive.
"..What is that?", you thought as you wtached the bag slowly rise off of the floor. You tensed, suddenly losing the strength to perform the spell you prepared.
The object inside the bag was slowly moving towards you. You moved back, not wanting to come into contact with the unknown object. You continued moving backwards, until you hit the back off the truck wall.
You panicked, seeing as to how you had nowhere else to run to as the object neared closer. You shut your eyes, awaiting the horrible fate of your misfortune. You waited. And waited. And waited. But nothing happened. You opened your eyes, to see something you hadn't expected.
A boy.
You opened your eyes to see a boy with pink hair and the most beautiful pair of green eyes staring back at you. This continued on for a while, you staring at the mysterious boy, the boy staring back at you.
"I wonder if he's the other kid they were talking about....", you thought as you continued to look into his green orbs.
After about 5 minutes of staring back and forth, the boy broke the awkward silence.
"Hey, what's up? I'm Natsu. What's your name?", he asked as he sat about 3 feet away from you.
"[Y/N]......" , you replied, your every thought being taken over by his presence, despite the fact you just meet the boy name Natsu.
He smiled, sending shivers up and down your spine. You could sense something very strong about him that made him even more mysterious to you
He scontinued to miled a you , his smile looking wider than before if that was even possible.
[Y/N], huh? I. Thats a really cool name!" He stated. Your cheeks warmed up, seeing as to how you were complimented by a complete stranger, or thats what it seemed like.And never had you really thought about your name being "cool".
The truck bumped along the road once more. You unfortunately couldn't keep you position in your spot. Sliding across the floor, you ended up colliding into Natsu, who also happened to be sliding around.
You both exclaimed in pain, rubbing either you side or you head.
"Man, how many times are you going to touch me?", Natsu asked, rubbing his now sore side.
You looked in his direction, confusion painted on your face. He obviously took notice to this,and decided to clarify.
"You were sleeping on me earlier", he answered. You blinked, mainly out of confusion. when had you slept on him? You remeber sleeping on a bag or potatoes. And that's when it hit you.
"I remember now. That bag i slept on was warm, like it was heated before hand.", you thought to yourself. "So that means...."
Your face automatically turned a bright pink, after realizing you had been sleeping on another human being. Not to mention that other person was a boy. You covered your face in shame and embarrassement.
"No wonder that bag was so warm..."
Suddenly, the truck stopped at an abrupt halt. You slowly stood up and made your way to the window. You gasped at the sight you saw.
What you saw was something you had never seen before but could easily recognize from your mother's tales. It was a village. A large on at that, with many of the citizens walking to and fro among the town square.
"... it looks beautiful ...." ,you thought as you basked amomg the many sights you saw. Large buildings that displayed garment of what you recognized to be fabrics, toys and books, and an assortment of foods.
You were absolutely mesmerized by the sight, and it was only when Natsu had called out to you that you came back to you senses.
"Whatcha lookin at that's got you so starry eyed?" , he asked as he walked toward the area you were currently placed. You pointed out towards the window. He climbed the metal stool and was also captured by it's unusual qualities.
"Hey what is this place?", he asked as he looked back at you with wonder filled eyes. You smiled slightly, seeing as to how happy he looked and slightly because you held more knowledge than him.
"I-its called a 'town'....", you stated quietly. Natsu turned back out to look at the many wonders of the town.
'Dang it! Why did you get so anxious? It was only a question ....', You scolded yourself for your lack of confidence for something so simple.
Upon your self criticism, the latch to the truck door began to shake as keys were being put into the slot.
Natsu climbed down from his step and stood close to you.
"Hey,[Y/N]."
You looked towards him with a questioning look upon your face. As if to answer your expression, he stated, "We're gonna escape."
Your eyes widened with surprise.
'Escape? How are we gonna escape three grown men?! We're only kids!', you thought as Natsu neared closer to the door.
"When the door opens you run and ill hold em off. Got it?", he asked. You nodded, despite the fact that you were absolutely clueless as to how you would get past all three of the men, even if Natsu managed to distract them.
As if on cue, the door suddenly flung open. Before you could even decide on what to do, a ball of flames shot across the truck.
'What was that!?', you thought as you looked around. You looked to where Natsu was previously standing, but he was no longer there. Instead, he was standing ontop of one of the three men, the older one to be exact.
"How dare you take me away from My home!?" He shouted at the top of his lungs, holding the man up by his collar with surprising strength. The old man could only shake his head, partially out of fear of the small child.
Natsu was suddenly angered by not receiving a proper answer and soon began to furiously punch the man.
Despite the fact these terrible men had kidnapped you, it only seemed right to you to help the man before Natsu beat him to a pulp.
"Natsu, stop it! You'll kill him! ", you shouted as you attempted to hold back his fury. He snapped his he's around, looking at you with eyes full of anger and hatred.
"They took us away from our homes,[Y/N]! They deserve what's coming to them!"
"But that doesn't mean kill him! Yes, they've hurt us, but the least we can do is have mercy on their sad, pathetic lives as humans."
He looked down at the man, who he had beaten. Upon looking at him, his eyes cleared of any previous emotions.
He slowly stood up and stood away from the man.
"I guess so....", he mumbled. You went to comfort him, but something hard hit the side of your head before you could do anything. You fell to the ground, a warm liquid running down your head. As your vision began to fade, you heard the sound of one of the two remaining men shouting, followed by the sound of struggling and fighting.
'Natsu.....', was the last thing you thought about before passing out.
Ciao! Alright so I guess alot of you are expecting an explanation for why this chapter is so late. And my reason is I had no way to update this. Our network went down so I had no way to use Wattpad. But that doesnt matter now, because the new chapter is finally here! And I am currently planing out the next chapter right now so stay tuned for that.
