the brave princess {botw link x reader}

{part 1}

You are going home from a long day of school. Even tho it's a long walk, you like outside and you like walking so you never take the bus. Exept when it's raining too hard. 
You and your mothers (A/N: I wanted LGBTQ in the story and almost all the ships are straight so boom.) live in a small house close to the woods.
You like going into the woods and reading there or sometimes you sport there. you are not really social because you constantly move away but you can enjoy yourself with a good book. 

When you arrive at home, you see your parents talking to eachother. It seems to be important, let's listen. "It found us, and it will not take long until it finds y/n. We need to do something." 

'They are talking about me? and what is the thing they say that found them?'

"Maybe we should send her back Nancy. I think he will almost wake up."

'Who, who will almost wake up?'

"Whatever we do, we don't have much time. Look." My mom says. She points at her arm. I try to see what is so special about it and see that her veins are purple/ blackish. 

'What could be wrong. Will she be alright?'

"Oh, Nancy, what do we do? The king never gave us any instructions for this." What do you mean king, why would the king give them instructions. You are confused. What the hell are they talking about. "Maybe we should just tell her, she will know eventually." 

'What will I know'

"Good call, when should we tell her?" You sigh in relief. They will tell you. Now you are curious. When will they tell you. Knowing that they are gonna say the answer to that question, you listen again.
"Tomorrow, if we do it later, I don't know what I'm going to do to her." Why would your mom do something to you? What is all of this. "You are right. Come on, she will come home soon." Then they leave the room and Momma Nancy goes to their bedroom and momma Janet goes to the kitchen. (A/N: yes i said momma, problems?) 

You just decide to get out of your hiding spot and pretend you just came home. "Hi mom!" You say in a fake cheerfull tone. "Hi y/n, your mom and I were thinking, maybe we can go for a walk tomorrow.
The vacation is going to start and it's gonna be lovely weather outside." You know that they will tell you what they were just talking about so you agree happily.

You go to netflix or disney+ or whatever and watch your favorite movie. You can't take your mind off of what your parents were just saying.
You are not even watching the movie. You are just thinking. And so, you don't notice it when the movie was over and hours had passed by.

"Y/n, dinner is ready!" Momma Janet yells from downstairs. "I'm comming!" You yell back.

'Will they bring up something about tomorrow?'

You think to yourself. You really want to know. You are so distracted that you almost fal from the stairs. Luckily you don't.
You walk up to your spot at the table and see that your favorite food is right in front of you. Since when do they make f/f without teling you. 
You sit down and stare at the food. It looks so good. "Thanks for making this mom. But why didn't you tell me." 

"Oh, it's just a surprise to celebrate the beginning of the summer vacation. Spoken of that, why don't we go for a walk in the woods tomorrow. I heard the weather will be great." You stare at her. Thinking about what you heard them say a few hours ago. You decide to just answer like you never heard it.

"Yeah, sounds great. I might go for a walk this evening too. Do you wanna come with me?" They both say no. You are kinda happy about that. You wanted some more alone time to think about what will happen tomorrow.

After you are all done eating the delicious food. You go to your room to get ready for an evening walk. You put on some mom jeans, a whitetop and a navy blue sweater. When you got downstairs you put on your black vans and decided this will be warm enough. A jacket wont be needed. 

"I'm going mom, see ya later. I will be home before nine and I have my phone with me, bye." You quickly yelled and closed the door again behind you.

Finally outside, you walked to the path that will lead to the woods. Most people don't go walking there in the evening because they think it's scary. You find it rather calming. It's silent and you can hear the animals well.
Breathing in the fresh air, you feel that you are alive. And since it's vacation, you don't need to interact with other people. t's not that they bullied you or something but they used to. You were brave enough to punch them.

Sadly, the teacher only saw that part and you got detention. The kids ignored you after this incident. That's now 7 months ago. You live here for a year now and next year you would be moving again. 
However, you decide not to think about the this. And also not about what your parents had been saying to eachother.  You want to think about your memories.

Your parents had never told you who your real parents were, only that you are adopted but that they love you just as much as their own child. You did remember some things about your life before them.
It isnt a lot even tho you were adopted when you were 17.
Another weird thing is that you have been 17 for a pretty long time. Your parents havent aged a lot either.
You don't know how many years it has been know. But it feels like a century. And the worst thing is, you didn't even get a glow up in all those year. (At least that's what you think)

Your parents say other people are just like this. That it's a rare desease. But you don't believe that crap. At first you made jokes like: we are vampires. But after a while you investigated why this happens. You still don't know. However, You started to recall one of your few memories from your old family.

A girl with blonde hair runs towards you. Seeing her length and ours, you think you are both about 8 years old .Her face is blurred but from other memories you think she is some kind of family. 

"y/n, y/n, y/n, dad wants to talk to you. Come with me!" The girl yelled in a sweet voice. You drop something you didn't knew you were holding.
You look back whle running behind the girl because she is pulling you with her. Seeing that it's a sword. Cool! You think. 

You run with the girl and come in a room in a castle. It's big and there is a kind of fat looking man standing on a balcony. "Ah, y/n, I have been thinking about your request. I can't do anything alse then agree on the fact that your sister is far more usefull for the kingdom than you at the moment." You stare at the ground, sad.
Why does he have to say that to his own daughter. 

"But, I also agree on the fact, this would be solved a little if you would become a knight like you asked." A smile appears on your face. "I do have some conditions for you to go training in the knights school." The smile vanishes. "I will make sure there will always be someone watching you. I can't have you getting hurt. I will also watch your  improvement. If I notice you aren't doing well, you will stop with knight school."

Those seem to be reasonable conditions. And  those seem to be all of them. "Now, y/n, I would like you to go to your room, there are training clothes in the wardrobe. Go to the training field at 4 pm and someone will be there waiting for you." You quickly go to your room with a huge smile.

You don't know if this is an actual memory or just a dream. It is awesome and that's sure.
You walk a little longer in silence. Then something catches your eye. It isnt difficult to see since the thing is blue and its shining light. 
You take a closer look and see that it looks like a rabbit with an owl face. That's weird.

The creature runs away and you follow it. It runs towards a large cliff. You think you can no try to catch it. You sneak up behind it. When it sees you, it vanishes. It must have been a halucination or something. It's getting late, You should go home. If it does exist, you will see it tomorrow.
