the brave princess {botw link x reader}

{Part 7}

The morning soon arrived togheter with the sound of birds and the warm morning sun. Link and you will be travelling  more today. It would be easyer since you now have part of the map. The yellow point on the sheikah slate is still not to be seen on the map.

You have eaten breakfest. It is now time to go. You both soon reach the dueling peaks mountain. You haven't walked past any monsters this morning and you're happy about that. Your legs aren't used to walking this much but Link seems to be okay with it. You hope to get a horse. You have heard someone talking about it on a bridge you had passed yesterday. 

You close your eyes seeing as you need to walk forwarts for a while now. You let the warm sunlight hit your eyelids. This is way better than school.
Suddenly you feel someone holding your wrist. It's Link. Before you could question him he holds hi index finger in front of his lips. Signaling for you to be quiet. You do as told. He points towards a camp of monsters. Bokoblins to be precise. 

You know what to do and at the same time as Link, you reach for your sword. When you both hold your swords and look at eachother. You understand the plan as usual. It's always the same. You both take out half. 
You first reach for your bow. You hide close to the ground. You aim for the head of the bokoblin who is keeping watch. You let the arrow go and it flies in it's right eye. It quietly dissappears in the purple smoke.

The other bokoblins didn't seem to notice. You star at Link and he gives you a thumbs upin a way of saying good job killing it. You both run towards the bokoblins saying fuck you to discretion. The bokblins notice you and start walking to their weapons. Link takes out one and you take out two already.
You had counted them. Only 5 more.

They now have their weapons. Two of them run up to you and two go to Link. The thirth one goes towards their fire. You assume it's gonna light it's weapon on fire. You decide to take care of it later and swoop your sword towards the red bokoblin running towards you. After the single hit it dissapears in smoke. 
The other one takes a little more effort but you quickly kill it. 

You look over at Link and see him struggling with the bokoblin that lit it's weapon on fire. He has a wooden weapon and if it catches fire he is screwed. Togheter with your metal sword, Yu run towards the bokoblin trying to get it's attention. 
You succeed and the bokoblin runs towards you. You block one of it's attempts to knock you out by keeping your sword in the way. Your shield is not an option because it's also wood. 

You are not very quick and it attempts to knock you out once again. The bokoblin almost succeeds and you already feel the heat of its weapon. Luckily, Link got the hint and killed it from the back. You sigh as the purple smoke once again apears. You look over at Link and he seems relieved you are okay.

After taking some stuff from the camp, you walk a little more. You see a strange looking building not too far away. Once you can see it clearly, Link looks at the sheikah slate that made a noise. "It's a stable!" Link cheers. 
"Great, maybe someone here knows the way to Kakariko." 

You both walk a little faster. Once you reach the stable you notice another shrine. Link looks at you with puppy eyes. "Yes you can go in. I'll wait here." A small smile appears on his face and he runs towards the shrine, entering it. You decide to go and socialise. Maybe here it would be easyer than at school.

Turns out, it isn't. You talked to two men standing at the beds and they just mocked you, telling you they are gonna find a treasure and you couldn't because you are a girl. This pissed you of, making you want to slap them. 
So you did. 
They didn't seem happy about the red hand mark on their cheeks. You walked away. You went to talk to the guy who takes care of the horses. 
He tells you, you can go catch a horse behind the stable and register it here. Nice, no more walking.

You quickly run behind the stables passing a cute dog on your way. You see horses not too far away. There is a beautiful fully black one a little further.

'I want that one'

You sneak up behind the horse. It doesn't notice you and no other horses are around to warn it. It's so beautiful and it's standing so tall and confident. You swidtly jump on it's back and the horse starts running. You calm it down while grabbing it's manes trying not to fall of. 
When the horse is calm, you make it go to the stable and the owner seems impressed. "That's a beautiful horse, many people tried to catch it but o one succeeded yet. Good job. That will be 20 rupees." 
You take out the rupees you got from selling some stuff you had found.
You hand him the money and he tells you to name the horse.

After a while of thinking, you name your horse Jean (If you undertood that reference, I love you. Also, if you wanna change the name that's okay.) You turn around after paying and naming the horse. Link comes out of the shrine and seems happy. You walk up towards him with Jean. 
He seems shocked so you explain already. "This is Jean, don't you think they're cute."

He smiles and nodds. After telling you he got a treasure, you decide you should make your way to Kakariko. You clim onto the horse. Link stares at you questioning what he should do. You are quick to grab his arm and pull him on the horses back behind you. He is kinda shocked but when you make Jean run towards the bridge you need to cross, he rapidly puts his arms around your waist.

You blush a little until you realise the reason why he did that. He doesn't want to fall of, roll of a cliff and die a slow and painfull death. The blush goes away. You feel the wind trough your hair. it's making you happy.
After a quick talk with Link, the both of you decided to go to Kakariko, even though it might get dark before you get there. 

The sun is slowly setting now and Link had gotten used to the speed of Jean. He had gotten out the sheikah slate holding you with one arm just in case. "It shouldn't be very far, altough, we don't have the map so I don't know." 
Wow, ws that usefull. You ignore his slight yelps and go faster once again. Jean and you have become friends during your short journey with them.

After a while, you ride between high cliffs. Link says you're almost there now. You follow the path and notice a few red flags. That's probably to say the village is nearing. You ride up towards it. After a while, the cliffs go wide and you see a beautiful village. This must be Kakariko village.
