Learning to Survive in Herobrines World

Chapter 4: The outcast

A/N wow I am sorry. Though right now no one is really reading my fan fic much I still feel terrible cause I suck at updates. Okay guys, this chapter is going to be short, yeah sorry, but after this moment I am gonna be winging it alot, go with the flow I guess. So I really need to ask you guys that if you have ideas tell me because after this chapter I am clueless. Anyway, onto the story

I never knew it but a largely dense forest. Of course a strike of lightning was now burning it all down, so everyone from the village was now following Mayor Sky through a forest of red and a burning smell of decay from who knows where. Smoke fluttered into our eyes as we ran and many people were coughing and some even just collapsed. I was running with all my might despite the fact my feet felt as though they had lead in them and every few seconds I got nastily burned. Not to mention I am unused to such immense exercise, no, I am not even used to running. As a farmer all I do is harvest and replant my crops, make bread for breakfast, sell my crops, and relax for the rest of the day, thinking about life. Exercise, is not part of my daily regimen. Not to mention I haven't eaten anything at all today. So by the time we stopped running I was on the verge of collapsing myself.

We stopped at a large lake I immediately realized that the place where the miners mine was here( Nice planning guys ) . We had been running for 20 minutes(which is shockingly hard) so I realise that thia may not seem like a major accomplishment but I still felt proud of myself for surviving this long.

Speaking about surviving the village of Minetopia had atleast 700 people in it (A/N fun fact, I got this number from a minecraft server that could only hold 700 players and it was always filled to the brim) but now there was only around 300 people. I could see many people I knew had died. Including Stewer. Though 700 people is considerably alot of people to know we are raised and civilized so that we know almost everybody. So I think it is safe to say I kew almost everybody who died. Luckily Wardo was safe... me and him are basically best friends. Though people in school are separated by what job you will posses Wardo originally was meant to be a farmer so we are best friends. They changed him middle of our 2nd year so that is why he hates his job now.

Getting off track. Sorry. As soon as we reached the lake Mayor Sky called a meeting. We were all tired and hungry, so when he told us to stop running some people even cheered. As soo as he said that I collapsed on the ground to try and catch my breath and come to terms with the tragedy I have witnessed. You know, it isn't like Stewer had died right before my eyes or anything. No, not at all. I also tried to figure out what lay ahead now. All of Minetopia had just been destroyed. Which meant that little hut I used to live in was now ruined. We also are the last civilized humans left. The rest have gone crazy or died. so what was going to happen to us now? As long as we stay together, and no one gets left behind we will be fine. We will have to construct a new wall, and I may never see it in my lifetime, but humans will still be safe. I am aure of it, I let my brain start to enjoy the ideas of the new wall, town, and the new designs that could come with it. I may even find myself a spot in the history books, yeah, that would be cool.

Suddenly Mayor Sky broke my thoughts. He had beem sittin there catchin his breath like the rest of us, and now he began to speak. But I am going to skip bits of his speech because I am trying to keep this story PG. So after about 5 minutes of swearing he began to say, " Okay, I think I made it official that I am very mad at those Stupid Flying Squids." More swearing... " Okay game plan. We need a new wall. That is obvious. Beeeecause a stupid flying man and his Stupid flying squids destroyed it. But heres the thing, shop keepers, delivery, and farmers wont make that happen. So everyone besides the miners, guards, builders and teachers need a job change to one of those, besides teachers. The teachers will teach everyone without those jobs how to be one. Miners, you will keep mining. Guards, you will guard the villagers at night and when it is raining ( the raining stopped ) when the mobs are worst. Understood?"

After he finished his speech, raged flooded from the remaining villagers, including me. No one wanted to change their jobs to more dangerous one, even Wardo who claimed he would rather be a miner instead of a Delivery man was upset. After several minutes of this, Sky broke us off

and said, " Look, normally I wouldn't do this, but right now times are different, it isn't my fault a flying man destoyed our town. Speaking of which, Librarians any idea who he is, and any weaknesses he may have?" The librarians took a second to grumble about how they wouldnt be called that any longer, but they went ahead and said anyway, " We have no clue, maybe if we had our books we could learn but they were the first things destroyed."

Sky looked pretty upset by this fact, and then I just had to open my big mouth. I would look at this moment in the future and think God what was I thinking. But I opened my mouth and said, " Stewer called him Herobrine." Everyone stopped to look at me, and I knew I made a mistake. People began whispering nervously, leaving me helplessly confused. Thats just what Stewer told me. But it became clear pretty quickly. "Steve, you and this Herobrine look oddly alike," said Mayor Sky, making me realise what he was getting at. But before I could defend my self, Sky continued on saying, " Steve, no offense, but maybe you should leave. It would make everybody feel better, and if you two are related in any way, I do not want you in my town."

"Thats suicide!" I cried out, but no one spoke in my defense, not even Wardo would meet my eye.

Cue epic Hero walking away in the Yeah I will just get through beter without you guys fashion. Sadly that did not happen. For one, I was basically beggin them to let me stay, second the forest was still on fire and the only way to leave safely is through the lake, which is not epic at all. Third, my only experience swimming was in that fountain in the middle of town kids liked to swim up. So I was basically drowning the entire way across. When I reached the other side I saw they were still watching me. Luckily the woods on this side wasn't on fire, so as I walked slowly into the woods I was able to look slightly epic. But my heart was sore, because I knew this could be the last time I ever saw them. And I was afraid.

A/N hey guys. I will admit, it is not completely tiny. That's a plus. There is not much to say here, other than the fact I really need to ask you guys for ideas now. Also I may be adding a new story to work on called 19 Chambers. You may be able to see it in my works, I am just unsure when I will get it published.
