"So it works by pressing this button?" I asked the man beside me. I has just discovered him randomly, at what appeared to be a griefed base but instead was a hidden base hiddenunder fake grief. I had looked around the area to see if there was anything salvageable, when I saw a trapdoor. I had prepared my sword and opened it up to see a dark hole that seemed to go forever. I climbed down and after a few minutes, I came across a large stone area that was redstone everything. It had random areas that had redstone contraptions of which I had never seen, like trapped areas and doors that opened by stepping on a plate beside it and odd redish lamps and one startled man. His skin was just a bald guy with glasses and a labcoat. Oddly enough he had no weapons, and to get all this redstone he would have had to find alot of iron.
"Yes, and if my calculations are correct, it should hit that target over there," said the scientist. Thats what he told me to call him, apparently he didn't like his real name. (AN that is not a doctor who reference btw) In front of me was apparently, his greatests creation yet. It was simply a box with many layers of TNT with water behind them. He called it a TNT cannon. "Mind if I..." I asked the scientist as I indicated towards the button. He nodded very eagerly as I went ahead and pressed it. Suddenly the TNT began hissing and a moment later there was a loud BOOM, and a I watched in awe as a single block of TNT launched into the air. It landed amongst a small area of trees, a couple if meters from the target. The scientist frowned at this, and then said,"Well I was a bit off. Hey Steve, how about you go check the wreckage while I reload this thing. If you could tell me the amount of damage done that would be amazing." I shrugged and nodded, and jogged up to the trees. I made mental notes of the missing leaves and wood, when I heard an explosion. I whipped around and saw a glowing and fusing block launching right to where I stood.A little while after I woke up I was released from my tiny cage.
When I left Johnson came to me and said,"Enjoy this day while you can. Tomorrow your going to train to be a marine." This disturbed me because from what I can tell, the Covenant are just alien skinned people who the marines killed. I am unsure if I could do that, I don't even think my dream self could do that!
I decided to explore the huge spacecraft, and right away I could tell this place was the most complex thing ever built! Though it was mostly stone, almost every ore imaginablr was there fulfilling some purpose to its interior. I saw an emergency room that was made completely of obsidian. And there was redstone everywhere. Ok, redstone contraptions. But similar to the lab in my dream it had many redstone contraptions everywhere, the only difference was that these were in more of an orderly fashion and not quite as complex.
I wandered around for an hour, got lost three times, and found perhaps one of the most amazing room in the entire ship. I stepped on a pressure plate (which to my amazement opened the door with no trouble) and saw 11 by 10 stacks ormf books. I the shelves were huge, but the rooms size was so much larger, if I didn't know better I would claim it went on forever.
I went to a shelf and pulled out a random book. I popped it open and to my surprise it had a picture of the man in my dreams Founder of Redstone Science read the title of it. I looked down and skimmed a couple of sentences. I wasn't impressed. It was all theories as well as speculations and mysteries. I can hardly deny my dreams are dreams now can I? I thought bitterly when I noticed a theory stating he hid under a griefed base.
I grudgingly put the book back and looked around more. Then I noticed a book that read Hostile Mobs: where did they come from? I picked it up and saw it had creepers and zombies on the front. I started to open it when I was interrupted by a,"Thats classified."
I turned around to see Cortana, holding several books in her arms as well as a hostile glare in my direction. She pulled the book out of my hands and added it to the growing pile in her arms. "Sorry," I apologized. "It just looked interesting. " and I may already know what it was going to say, I thought to myself as I saw Cortana's face soften a little before it hardened again. "Sorry Steve, its my job to protect this ship and its inhabitants, and I am taking no chances," Cortana said with a suspicious stare, like something was bugging her. I wish I had asked what was up right then, but seeing as she didn't like me I kept my mouth shut. I regretted it a few hours later.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Since it was decided I wasn't a spy, the other men and women from the ship either ignored me or spoke to me as if I was one of their own. I felt like I belonged for once, and as I sat in the dining hall with the otger marines, and I explained my old life, I thought like maybe the hardest part was over. Oh boy was I wrong.
"Okay everybody!" Came a booming female voice. We looked up to see a girl dressed in white with brown hair that fell right to her shoulders. "Captain Keys..." a marine murmured in my ear. "As you can see, the spy here has been decided to be a simple Towel noob that has wondered into our lives. And tomorrow he will start training as a marine to help stop the Covenant fiends to the threaten our way of life!" I felt uncomfortable abouy that last bit and saw it as slightly unnecessary. "Say hello to our newest recruit, Steve!" A swift round of clapping was interrupted by another female voice. "And say goodbye to our newest recruit, Steve!"
I gawked as Cortana walked up besides Keys, holding a single book in her hands that I couldn't help but think was going to make my life a whole lot harder. "Cortana what is the meaning of this?" Demanded Keys as she glared at her angrily. Cortana didn't aeemed fazed. "The problem is that Steve looks just like this creature." Cortana held up her book and to my horror I saw Herobrine. The picture was of Herobrine watching fron afar, blurry but seen. A horrible, accusing silence filled the air as I stared dumbly at the picture of the man who destroyed my home. "His name is supposedly Herobrine, and he is the source of all bad in the world!" Cortana continued, casting another dirty look in my direction. Keys stared blankly at the picture for a moment before she said,"So? He looks like the guy so what?" Cortana looked bugged at her statement before she blabbered,"So what! Having himbhere could outrage Herobrine who would then come and destroy us! I refuse to take that risk for a scrawny little Towel Noob! He has to leave."
Several agonizing hours later, it was decided. I had to go. They kicked me out before the sun rose. "The faster he is gone the sager we will be," said Cortana, and everyone had agreed. As Johnson pushed me securely over 300 meters away from the ship he said,"I'd suggest you get out of here fast before the Covenant discover you, they won't be nearly as merciful as we are right now." I put on a forced smile as I said,"Thanks Johnson, thanks for trying to help."
He nodded and turned around and walked away. I watched him walk away into the setting sun. I began to walk. I knew this would be my first night i'd have to survive outside, so I took a deep breath and plunged into the woods, and after a few minutes later I was fleeing from atleast 10 zombies and running right into the base of the CovenantSorry I lied. I need to transition from halo to minecraft and this is what happened. Hey, its on Time isn't it? Anyway I don't know what to say, balabala, hope you enjoyed the chapter and I will see you next week.
