Breaking into Stark's garage, you and Anna park your cars in empty spaces and walk out. Dusting off your pant suit, you try to look presentable and less stressed. A few clicks of your phone and FRIDAY was disabled from announcing your arrival.
"How do I look?" You look into the reflection the the elevator door as Anna fiddled with your hair and fixed your makeup.
"Like a million bucks,"
One sharp intake when the elevator chimes you see the team having dinner. "Evening,"
"Y/n?!" Weapons were drawn out. "What are you doing here??"
"Can't I visit my favourite billionaire and heroes?"
"What happened?" Nat looked over you, spotting the disheveled bits you tried to hide.
"Does it matter?"
"Yes," she walks forward and raises a blade to your neck as you grinned at her.
"I simply decided to visit, is that too hard to believe?"
"She's in danger," Wanda mumbles making you snap a menacing glare to her.
"Is this true?" Cap stepped forward to push Romanoff back.
"And what if it is?"
"You want our help?" Sam scoffs.
"You weren't my first choice, my safe houses are all ashes and my jet is in flames," you sigh. "Just a few days, until I get back at Hydra and wipe them off the face of the planet,"
"Hydra attacked?? I thought you helped them?" Peter chokes.
"Help Hydra? Is that why you think I'm 'evil without a single trace of good in my system'?" Mr America pales. "I like to toy with you lot, see you squirm in the palm of my hand, but I'd never help those bastards,"
"Wow, thanks," Clint grumbles.
"Need I remind you I'm neutral? I may deal in the darker side but I'm not all bad, I tend to help heroes when they're at a dead end," taking a deep breath you close your eyes for a second before looking back at them. "Please,"
"Fine," Tony rubs his temple before gesturing for you to follow.
"Oh, Tony, you are an absolute darling!" Hugging the billionaire mockingly tight, he pulls away with a scowl making you chuckle. "Anna, call Alejandro, Vivian and Earl, see if they have anything to offer, or if they've decided to betray me,"
"Mhm, and Pip?"
"I don't care what happens to him, and you've had your fun right?"
"Fun is an understatement,"
"Good, fire him, and if the network hears him talking... you deal with him," you let Anna on the head as she smiled brightly.
"Yes, ma'am!" Anna dials a number and takes out a party horn. The moment it was picked up she blew into it causing a man to scream in shock. "Hey, Sugar, guess what?"
"What do you want, Anna? Finally going to suck my dick?" Pip cackles.
"No, just inform you that you're fired! And Boss says if she hears you mutter a vowel about her then I can deal with you myself," she chirps before walking to the kitchen and stealing a cookie from the jar.
"Whatever! You weren't even that hot,"
"On the contrary, I'm the sexiest person you'll ever lay eyes on," she meets eyes with you. "Other than boss," Anna adds on.
"That's better," you smirk and take out your phone.
Suddenly the line went silent as Anna burst into laughter. "Aw, poor boy... are these home made?"
"Bucky made them," Steve mumbles, snapping Bucky from his glare at the phone.
Loki watched as you scrolled through your phone mindlessly waiting for everything to be over. He saw the slight worry in your face once you got footage of what was left of your penthouse. One deep breath and you were back to your normal self.
Letting him gaze, you raise a brow with gentle smirk. "Stare any longer and you may actually set me on fire," He scoffs and turns away as Stark comes back after figuring out the rooms for you and Anna to stay in.
"Do you have clothes?"
"I'll buy some, my houses may be ruined but doesn't mean my accounts are empty," you walk pass the billionaire and to the rooms he left.
"Boss! Alejandro refuses to speak to me,"
"Give me the phone," you take it to your ear and push open the door. "Al, baby, what's wrong?"
"I refuse to speak to that assistant of yours, she called me a skunk,"
"Oh, hush, she jokes around too much... I must know what you are aware about on my situation?" You check the view as the team hung around by the door.
"Hydra aims only you, not your partners unless they helped with your tantrum killing spree,"
"And can I count on you to be my knight in shining armour if it comes to that?" You meet eyes with Loki in the reflection of the glass.
"Yes, of course, as long as we keep our arrangement?"
"Yes, your mother is receiving the best treatment and your sisters are under my watch,"
"Thank you, Y/n, truly," his accent rolls off his tongue flawlessly in honesty.
"It's no problem, I take care of my Network and business partners like family until they betray me,"
"I'm well aware of the consequences, thank you again, I will keep an ear and eye everywhere," he assures before bidding you goodbye.
The team looked to each other unsure as you spun with an eye roll to them. "What?"
"That's the first time I've seen you care,"
"And you'll see it more if you don't get on my nerves and tempt me to drown you in a pool of gasoline before lighting it up,"
"And she's back," Tony sighs.
