After going home Lui Haihan saw his family being busy packing stuff. Even his baby Qianqian is packing her toys seriously. He helped them pack heavy items. He decided not to bring too much stuff and buy new items in capital.

Lui Haihan saw his sister coming downstairs dressed in a beautiful blue dress. She had a jade pendent tied with black thread around her neck. This has been the only thing left by his parents which he has been able to protect.

"Brother, I will be going to my friend birthday. When I come it will be late. Sister in law, don't cook dinner for me." Said Lui Ying and looked towards her brother. Seeing her brother thinking weather to allow or not she continued, "we are going to capital and I don't know when I will see them again"

Seeing his sister with jade pendent hanging around her neck brought memories of his past life. His sister also went to birthday party in his past life but then he has just divorced his wife and didn't care much. But the next day she got up with a headache and noticed that she lost her jade pendent. This has been their only remains of their parents.

She has always has it on her neck. She panicked soo much back then almost on the verge of crying, even he is displeased with her careless attitude. They tried searching for it calling her friends and hotel staff, but it was not found. Later apocalypse arrived and they both forgot about the jade pendent.

Seeing his sister pleading look his heart softened. She is right after today she may not be able to see her friends. With that thought he said," you can go but let driver take you, don't stay late. Give your jade pendent to me. I will later take it for polish".

Lui Ying removed the jade pendent and gave it to her brother. This jade pendent is old but one can see at a glance that it's high quality. Seeing this thing brought some sad memories to Lui Haihan, shaking his head he tucked it into his pocket and continued packing.

Seeing her bare neck, Yang wei gave her some jewelry to select. Looking through the jewelry box Lui Ying selected a silver necklace with a small jade pendent hanging. It looked simple but perfect for the small party, after wearing the necklace Lui Ying thanked her sister in law and left.

After packing Lui Haihan placed his phone and jade pendent in drawer and went to take shower. Bathing under clean water he felt so refreshed. In apocalypse good food became a luxury much less bathing. He brought water purifiers and fixed them in their new house and he also attached several solar panels in hidden locations which can give constant supply of electricity. Though his ability can provide with electricity, he cannot constantly supply it all the time.

Walking out of the bathroom he saw his wife sitting on bed waiting for him. He remembered that they still haven't talked about that divorce issue, maybe she is afraid that he may change his mind that she is avoiding uptill now.

He know that if he didn't explain properly his wife may not show but she may feel insecure deep down. Though he is not super eloquent with his words, he wanted his wife to understand that he deeply love her as much as she do. For now he cannot explain that he was diagnosed with cancer and that's why he decided to leave, this reason may cause her to freak out.

He silently embraced her and deeply inhaled her scent. Her scent has the power to sweep away the tiredness he felt, it brings him to state of euphoria where every cell of his body becomes excited. Lifting her up by chin he spoke looking into her eyes, "In this life I promise to never hurt you again, always remaining by your side. Please forgive me for what happened before, that will be the last time".

Looking at her husband who spoke such heart moving words Yang wei felt shocked and embarrassed. Though they have been living together, her husband has never been good at sweet words. Now suddenly hearing such words though embarrassed, made her heart warm.

Lowering her head she nodded, she did feel insecure before but now hearing his promise made her feel happy because he is never one to break a promise. Securing her in his embrace Lui Haihan felt so much peace. The warmth of the small body spread to every cell, making him remember that he is not alone anymore.
It didn't take long for him to enter into deep sleep.

Lui Ying cheeks reddened from intake of alcohol, her eyes blurred. At the restaurant when she is returning to home, she met sister Bai, who works with her brother. She invited her to talk with her, to give her face she didn't decline. By then she had already been tipsy but Bai Lian ordered more alcohol and urged her to drink. Feeling embarrassed she didn't say no.

"Lui Ying, drink this glass today sister Bai wants to celebrate with you for her new relationship" mocking Bai Lian, passed the glass to Lui Ying. Drinking alcohol Lui Ying suddenly started to cry. Ignoring the questioning stares Lui Ying drowned alcohol in one full gulp. By then Lui Ying is completely drunk.

Her boyfriend has been cheating on her, she don't know who he has been raising outside. In the photos her brother showed didn't reveal the identity of the female. Feeling sad she started to ramble. "That fu*k*r has been raising a little bi*ch outside, what did he take me for, these three years I have been enduring that expressionless face just because he treated me different compared to other females. I thought that ba*terd has a special place for me who would have thought that cheap, arrogant, narcissistic fellow would cheat on me. If I see that slut I would definitely slap her to coma".

After rambling her sorrows, Lui Ying has peacefully collapsed on table. Looking at the girl who is sleeping been described as cold and aloof, Bai Liang's lips twitched. Her eyes showed her complicated feeling looking at Lui Ying. She never thought that Lui Ying would alredy know about Gu Cheng cheating on her.
