THEY NEED US

Bruce made it to the Batcave to see it in flame. he ran deeper into cave as the flames heat warmed his skin, " Catlin! Alfrid!" he called out. he tries to activate his detective vision wasn't working, he swears at himself before he yelled out, " My detective vision is down, Hang On!". he ran to the bat computer as was able to fix his detective vision. once he activated it, he looked around to try and find them when he hears something below the cave. he looked down to see Alfrid under some rubble. "no" he said to himself as he glided down to Alfrid and started getting the Hugh stones off him. " Alfred - can you hear me? I'm going to get you out of there!" he said but there were only silents, " Alfrid!? Alfrid?!" Bruce yelled out as he finally got Alfrid out, but he could see that he want to go to make it. " Alfred - you can't - ". Alfred looked up at him as he was losing his breath, " don't add me to the weight you carry, get your wife and child back, bring them home" he said as he took his last breath. 

Bruce sat there in silents as his mind went back to everything that had happened tonight, every life he couldn't save. this angered him " no....NO!" he yelled out as he punched the ground but as his fist his the ground his electric gloves went off, and this triggered his mind. he remembered when he was in the GCPD, he saw some paramedics saving the life of an officer. " 250. Charging! Clear!" Bruce activates his electric gloves and does CPR on Alfrid. after a few seconds, Alfrid gaps as Bruce sighs in relief " you're going to be alright" he said before he grabs Alfrid and grappled back up to the top of the Batcave. 

once Bruce patched up Alfrid he stood in the medic bay with Alfrid without his cape on or his mask as he tries to think of a plan, but the pain he is feeling for not getting to the cave in time was taking over his mind. " I know I haven't always been supportive of what you do, but I understand now. Go. She needs you out there" Alfrid said, but Bruce shakes his head and turns his back to Alfrid. " I can't defend Gotham. I can't even defend my own home, my own family" Bruce walks up to the bat computer and turned off the police radio before standing there as his mind went back to the memories of him and Catlin. then he was brought out of his thought when he heard Alfred come up to him, "Master Bruce, now is not the time for doubt". but Bruce just shakes his head, "I can't do it. Catlin was right. I should have stayed with her, my child. I can't stop them." Alfrid takes something in his hand and placed it in front of Bruce, " no you can't. not on your own "Bruce looks to see the envelope that Catlin gave him sitting in front of him, " but it's high time your realize that you're a man, not an island. and a man's strength comes from just braw and intelligence but also his allies" Alfred said as he turned on the police radio back on as it reports a riot going on in black gate prison. 

"Priority one alert - the joker has escaped from his cell and is leading the riots at black gate."

 Bruce opens the envelope, as he could hear the feet of the bat's climbing above him.  he sees a picture of an ultrasound, he smiled when he saw the writing on the back of the picture in pink writing, it read " hi daddy"  Bruce turned the photo and looked back at his baby with a smile. 

" Repeat: the joker has taken over the entire prison, multiple casualties, multiple hostages." 

Bruce then looks at his mask that sat in front of him, he then looks up at the ceiling to see the bats screeching above him, he then realized that he had to be the hero Gotham needs

"Again we have lost black gate. Captain Gordon is calling on anyone, anyone for assistance"

Bruce puts on the mask as loads of bats flew above him as he griped the photo in his hand, " they need you" Alfrid said before Bruce turned to him, " no, they need us" he said before he left for black gate. once he made it to the front of black gate to see it was on lockdown, he looks around and found the sewer. he went in when he heard Alfred on the coms, " sir - I've been listening to the reports coming out of black gate. everything ok?" he asked, "I should be asking you that. hoe are you feeling?" Bruce asked as he heard Alfrid sigh, " well, it's not every day that one's heart must be crudely resuscitated by defibrillation, but I must say, I'm feeling remarkably well. considering"
