[[It's been a month since Y/n left. Mitch can't stop thinking about her. He's sad, lost. All his big plans to start a family with Y/n, all his dreams, gone. He calls her everyday, hoping that one day she'll pick up to tell him "I forgive you". Mitch misses everything: the late night games and talks after a horror movie that kept Y/n awake, the shared morning showers, the meals they prepared together, her perfume, her hair, her eyes; the way she giggled whenever he would kiss her and hold her in his arms. All of it, gone.
The ring he wanted to give her was still in Mitch's night stand, Y/n didn't want it.
Mitch takes his phone and dials Y/n's number again, bringing it to his ear hopeful that she'll pick up this time.
"Hello, this is Y/n. I'm probably on a big adventure with my boyfriend right now, so leave a message and if I don't lose my phone again, I'll call you!" Mitch chuckles as he hears her playful message. He remembers when she lost her phone that time they were visiting China. She didn't want to buy a new one, so they spent three days looking for it. Mitch was the one who found it, behind a tree near a mountain.
"It probably fell when you were running around like a little girl while trying to take pictures of a blue bird." Mitch had told her.
"Ok maybe I should have checked in my pocket to see if I had it before we went back to our apartment." she said. That night they went to bed after 3 am. Y/n had read online that in that time of the year, the sky was extremely clear and they decided to go star gazing. That's how they spent most of their night. Looking at the stars, the few planets they could see. In that trip, Mitch had fallen in love with her again. He already knew her goofy side. He loved when she put pants on her head and acted like Ashoka Tano from Star Wars; or when she had fights with the bottles of shampoo in the shower just to practice, so she could be mean with people in real life. All the fake awards and prizes she had won in the shower, always thanking everyone and informing the "tv" about how grateful she was. Mitch already knew that side and he loved it. But on that trip, he discovered the little girl that lives inside her. The part of her that dreams and hopes more than any other person he's ever met. The side of her that sees the good even in the most unfortunate events or in the worst people. Now, all of that, every single thing he adores about her, all gone.
"Hum, Y/n, it's me again. You probably didn't hear the phone or you simply don't want to talk, but... I need to see you, Y/n." this is all Mitch could say.
However, Y/n did hear the phone. She's sitting on her bed, her eyes are red and filled with tears. She misses Mitch too, a lot, but she doesn't know what to do. She takes her phone and calls her best friend Cindy for advice.
"Hey girl, what's up?" she answers.
"Cindy, I need your help. I don't know what to do."
"About that Rapp guy?" Cindy asks.
"Yeah. I miss him so much. What should I do?" Y/n asks.
"Oh god, Y/n. You need ot figure this shit out. Do you still love him?"
"I-I don't even know... I mean, I miss him and I dream about him at night, but I still feel like I can't trust him anymore. That's a pretty big secret." Y/n says.
"Keep in mind that it's his job. He literally can't tell anyone because it's like a government secret." Cindy reminds her.
"Well, that's true. You know between the mental breakdowns and the heavy ice cream eating sessions I didn't even think about it. Maybe I should call him, should I call him?"
"Wait, wait. I have a question first." Cindy stops her.
"Sure."
"When you think about him, like the good moments and all the fun you had together, do you get butterflies?" Cindy asks. There's a moment of silence, where Y/s stops to think about Mitch. She closes her eyes and sees him, his hazel eyes, his brown, soft hair, his hands, his lips, his heart. She feels butterflies inside her and smiles, a single tear rolling down her cheek as happiness and hope fill her mind and heart. "Hello?" Cindy says and Y/n opens her eyes.
