Hawk and I are in the car now, since he offered to give me a ride home.
"Can we drive around for a little while, so I'm at least a little more sober when I get to my apartment?" I ask him. My dad is usually pretty chill, but sometimes he's also a little overprotective.
"Yeah sure." He says, not taking his eyes off the road.
"So, brother?" He asks me after a little while of driving.
"Uh, yeah. I haven't spoken to him in years, so it was kinda a shock to see him tonight." I say with a slight laugh.
"Oh, at least you weren't sober?" He says, trying to lighten the mood.
"Yeah, and I'm happy I'm still not. I'll deal with it tomorrow." I say to him and rest my head on the window. When I notice that the conversation has stopped, I close my eyes, just now realizing how tired I am.
~~Hawks POV~~
When we finally arrived to the apartment complex, I parked and looked over to Cassie, who I just realized has fallen asleep.
"Cassie." I whisper to her, attempting to wake her up. She mumbled something in her sleep but didn't wake up.
"Ok then." I mumble and reach over to her side and unbuckle her seatbelt, then I get out of the car and go over to the passenger side. Slowly, I open the door and grab her before she falls, and I hold her in the bridal position. I kick the car door closed and start to walk over to her apartment.
"What's your apartment number?" I whisper to her, hoping she'll tell me.
"106." She mumbles and snuggles into my chest. I look down at her and smile, then walk up to her apartment. I try to open it, but it's locked. So, I knock on the door. I don't know what Sensei is going to say about me bringing his daughter home passed out. Before I can think about it any longer, the door opens, revealing a tired Johnny Lawrence.
"What the hell?" He says, rubbing his eyes. I notice he looks like shit, and he's definitely drunk. Then, when he looks at me longer, he realizes who I'm holding. "What happened to her?" He asks me in a stern voice but slightly slurred voice.
"She got drunk, I think she was going to stay at the party until she sobered up, but then Robby showed up and so I gave her a ride home but she fell asleep in the car and-" I ramble, nervous under Sensei's glare.
"She saw Robby?" He asks me in a surprised voice.
"Uh yeah, he showed up at the party. She wanted to go home after. I don't think he saw her though." I say to him. After a second of silence, he motions to her.
"Give her to me." He says, still staring at me, I give her to him and he starts to go back into the apartment. Before he closes the door, he turns to me.
"Thanks." He says, and closes the door.
~~Cassie's POV~~
I wake up with a pounding headache, and I look around my room confused. I don't remember coming home last night. After laying in my bed for a second, I decide to get up so I can get some Advil. As I'm going to my kitchen, I see my dad passed out on the couch. Ignoring him, I go to my fridge to grab a bottle of water. I start to look through the cabinets for Advil, but I can't find any.
"Advil's in the top cabinet." I hear my dad say from the couch.
"Thanks." I say, slightly embarrassed that he knows I was drunk last night.
"Hey, how'd I get home?" I ask him, if he already knows I was drunk, what's the harm of asking?
"The kid, Hawk, dropped you off." He says, saying his name weirdly.
"Oh." I say, dragging the word out. "Wait, why'd you say his name like that? You were the one that gave him the nickname." I ask him with humor. Instead of answering me he just glared at me and opens a beer.
"I don't want that boy dropping you off passed out and drunk anymore, got it?" He asks me, pointing at me while he talks.
"Ok dad." I say, chuckling a little while I take my Advil. I grab an apple and go to the couch, next to my dad.
"So, you saw Robby last night?" He asks me, and I'm confused on how he knows that.
"Uh yeah, he showed up to the party with Sam." I tell him.
"Wait, isn't Miguel with Sam?" He asks me.
"Yeah, I don't know how that played out, I left too soon." I say and bite into my apple.
"It's probably nothing." He says to me and turns back to the TV, but it looks like he's thinking rather then watching TV.
"Yeah." I agree.
