Music to listen to: Your New Boyfriend - Wilbur Soot

1,2,3,4,5,6. It was inventory day. I hate inventory day. I took note at all the candles and scribbled numbers on my notepad. I wonder if Karia will do it for me if I pay $7. Probably not since she hates inventory as much as I do. Bath and Body works is a cool job, but inventory is not.

"Candles done, time to move on to the perfumes"

The strong scents of perfume merge and attack my nose.

I pop in an earbud and play Your New Boyfriend by Wilbur Soot. Technically, I'm not supposed to listen to music at work but it's whatever.

"Excuse me?"

"SHIT" I jump remembering I still have customers to talk to.

He looks surprised and stares at me for a bit. Probably because of my weird behavior. He has fluffy brown hair, piercing eyes, and a glistening smile. On another note, he has some style with a black and white sweater, a white collar under it with some black jeans with converse. A man with style I see.

"Sorry sorry sorry, I was listening to music.. ummm what can I do for you?"

"Ummm.. candles. I'm - I'm looking for candles."

"Of course, we're actually having a sale on some wallflowers if you'd like some." I drag him to the other side of the store.

"Oh umm what are wallflowers?"

"Oh well they're basically something you plug into your wall and it makes your room smell nice! I have them pretty much everywhere. Not a big fan of them personally but my roommate, Karia's a fan so."

"Oh.. that's cool. So what candles do you recommend?"

He seemed to be pretty shy, it was cute.

"Well this one's my favorite" I say pointing to a green and yellow candle.

"And this one's my second favorite, and this one's my third. I have my candle taste down to a T." I say as I point to two more candles.

"Oh, ok", he giggles.

"Well, take your pick, I'll be by the perfumes doing inventory in the meantime if you need me."

His eyes are really nice.

"Umm stupid question" he says

"Yea?"

"Who were you listening to? You know. When I like. When I scared you. if you don't mind me asking."

"Oh! Your New Boyfriend by Wilbur Soot!"

"Really?"

"Yea of course! It's a good song but personally Jubilee line's my favorite."

"Haha, I'll be sure to tell him."

"Oh so you know the guy?"

"No. No of course. I definitely don't like why would I."

"Relax I'm messing with you"

I go back to boring inventory and about ten minutes later, that same guy comes back, arms full of candles and an extra wallflower.

"Wow! Would you like some help?"

"Yea that would definitely be nice." He giggles.

I help him get to checkout but just like that, he leaves.
