STORYBROOKE. William with Jacob marched to Gold's shop, only as they approach it, they see the old man step outside.

"My, my." Gold says noticing them, "William. It's so good to see you've been found, by Mr Knight, I see."

Jacob crosses his arms on his chest, "Alright, Gold, tell us what sort of thing Will has to do for you."

Gold glanced from Jacob and then to William.

"Ah, I see you told him of our arrangement." Gold says, "Hm, honestly didn't think you'd tell a soul."

William looks at Gold, "I deserve to know what I am getting myself into." He says.

Gold tilts his head as he ponders over it.

"I am looking for someone and I need help," Gold says.

"To kill them?" Jacob asks, "I know you're not a good person, Gold."

"A good person? No. But I do have loyalties. Loyalties to Belle and to my family." Gold says.

Jacob scoffs, "You don't have loyalties. You only care about yourself." He says.

Gold turns his attention to the other man, "I'd warn you on running your mouth like that, Mr Knight. I am after all the Dark One." He finishes it with a grin.

William held onto Jacob's hand and pulled him back a little. William glanced over to Gold after giving Jacob a look to stand down.

Gold noted it.

"So who am I helping you find?" William asks.

"My son," Gold says.

Jacob's eyes widen.

"Your son?" William asks.

Gold nods, "We've been apart for so long," He frowns, "I- I lost him ages ago and have been trying to find him ever since."

William frowns.

"I know he is in this realm just outside the city's limits." Gold says.

"We can't leave the city," Jacob says.

William turns to Jacob, "Wh- Why not?" He asks.

"Because," Jacob looks at William, "Because if we cross the city line, we'll forget everything."

Gold smirks, "Lucky for you, I've been working on a way to leave this city and still have our memories."

"Oh really?" Jacob asks with a small glare.

Gold nods, "It has to be tested," He then gestures to them, "If you'd want to volunteer?"

Jacob grabs William's hand and pulls him away.

"Hard pass," Jacob says.

Gold shrugs, "Suits yourself. If the results go in our favor, we'll be making a trip out of Storybrooke, dearies."

And with that, the two young men watch the Dark One walk down the sidewalk away from them.

William kept his gaze on the back of Gold, before slowly turning his gaze to Jacob. William sees the conflict in his eyes, and it pains him to see it.

"Jacob," William says, "You- You don't have to come with me on this."

Jacob glanced over at William without skipping a beat, "Wh- What?"

"This- This is my mess," William sighs, "I made the deal with Gold. It would only make sense that I accompany him."

Jacob shakes his head, "You are not being left alone with that monster." Jacob says.
