Just like that, the masked killer was attacked from behind moments before stabbing Amari. It took a few seconds for Amari to realize what was happening, but then she saw Jabari wrestling with the masked killer.

"You're supposed to be dead!" The masked killer shouted at Jabari.

Through her blurred vision, Tamara watched as the killer and Jabari fought each other like real enemies at war. Amari was catching her breath from the killer's chokehold. Suddenly, Jabari picked up the masked killer by her waist and slammed her body on the ground as hard as he could. POW!

"Ughhh!" The masked killer grunted as her body hit the floor causing blood to spit upwards from her mouth.

"Come on, let's go y'all." Jabari told Amari and Tamara as he stood up.

"Glad...you're not...dead!" Tamara whispered as Jabari rushed to pick her up.

"Yeah, I'm hard to kill." Jabari responded honestly.

Amari was already rushing to escape out of the burning laboratory. Jabari and Tamara followed behind closely limping the entire way.

"We can escape now that the killer's down." Amari said as she made it into the hallway.

Right after Jabari and Tamara made it out of the burning laboratory, their eyes caught the police storming in to save everyone. A few cops stopped in front of Amari, Tamara, and Jabari while the others rushed to the upper floors.

"Are you all okay?" One of the police officers asked.

"Yes." Amari said truthfully.

"For the most part." Tamara mentioned sarcastically.

"Good! Get to the ambulance outside. They'll take a look at the three of you." The police officer commanded.

"Okay. The killer's in that lab back there." Jabari told the officer right before the three of them left to go outside.

"If the police don't get her,I hope she burns to death." Amari commented coldly.

"True that!" Tamara agreed softly.

Moments later, Amari, Tamara, and Jabari were being checked out by the EMT workers. From inside the hospital, the police officers were bringing the masked killer out in handcuffs. From the looks of it, they didn't remove her mask yet. Probably to keep the media and the reporters from seeing who she was too early.

"Finally! Prison is the only place for a killer like her." Amari commented sternly.

"Right, the police will take her immediately to prison. She'll pay for her actions!" The EMT worker stated.

Tamara was told she has a minor concussion by one of the other EMT workers. Amari went to check on Jabari, who was being given oxygen and some Advil for pain inside another ambulance.

"We got her this time." Jabari said after removing his breathing mask.

"Yeah, it's good to see you still breathing." Amari replied casually with a smile.

"Me too. I thought it was over for me when she kicked me down the elevator shaft." Jabari admitted surprisingly.

"Damn, you got beat by a woman?" Amari asked jokingly.

"Shut up! Of course not." Jabari replied with a quick laugh.

"I gotta tell you something." Amari spoke softly to Jabari.

Out of nowhere, Tamara walked up beside Amari once she got cleared by the EMT workers. She was still in pain, but she was happy her friends were alive. What Amari had to say would have to wait.

"I knew you were alive." Tamara told Jabari as she glanced at him.

"And to think all of this because of this damn..." Amari commented as she reached in her pocket for the vaccine.

"What?" Jabari asked curiously.

"No! The vaccine is gone." Amari mentioned anxiously.

Amari, Tamara, and Jabari all looked over at the police car where the masked killer was apprehended. There was a cop carrying the vaccine to another car for evidence.

"Damn!" Amari and Tamara whispered at the same time.
