"Connor?" Kaycee offered him a smile as she strode towards him. "What are you doing here?"

Connor took his gaze away from the group that was inching their way beside them and beamed at Kaycee. "I was hoping you had class here and I was right!" He laughed. "I was sorta thinking about having lunch together. Is that alright?"

"Yeah, it's cool. We were about to have lunch anyways, you could join us it will be fun." Kaycee offered.

"Yeah, man." Sean said as a took his spot beside Kaycee, facing Connor. They were about the same height with Sean a few inches taller. "Join us."

Connor looked away from Sean's calculating gaze and settled onto Kaycee. He only had a few weeks in L.A. and he really wanted to spend time with her. "Yeah, sure count me in."

The group ended up having lunch at a restaurant near the studio. Now seated at the table, Kaycee in between Bailey and Connor with Sean in front of her in between Julian and Josh, they decided on what to eat.

"Oooh what about this?" Connor pointed at the Menu he was holding while leaning towards Kaycee. "This sounds nice."

Before Kaycee could answer however, Sean interrupted.

"She can't have that. There are almonds in them. She's allergic." He said, not even bothering looking up as he too read the Menu.

"Yeah... I'm slightly allergic to almonds. I'm sorry." Kaycee sheepishly said to Connor.

"Oh no I'm sorry. I did not know about that. How about this one then?" Connor asked as he pointed at the menu showing it to Kaycee.

Sean stood from his seat to peak at what Connor was pointing at then sat backdown and looked at Connor straight in the eyes.

"Nope. Too spicy for her."

"Why don't we let Kaycee choose?" Connor suggested after clearing his throat.

"Yeah why don't we let her choose?" Sean propped both his elbows on top of the table and clasped his hands under his chin, slightly leaning towards the table and not breaking Connor's eye contact.

To Bailey, the situation held more depth than lunch. And so before everything got out of hand, she cleared her throat.

"Oh I know! We'll try this Kay. Seems yum!" Bailey exclaimed.

Sean and Connor averted their eyes by then. Sean suddenly fascinated in inspecting his spoon.

"Yeah ok. Good choice Bails." Julian hurriedly said as he rapidly scanned the room. "Where's the god damn waiter."

"We'll just order our food, eat in peace and silence, and then we leave." Josh slowly said as he made a side eyed glance at Sean. "And we will not start a fight whatsoever because we decided not to and that we are decent people."

Julian extended his hand to slap Josh in the back which started their silent telepathic bickering where their messages are being conveyed by the sizes of their eyes.

Kaycee, confused at what was going on, laughed while looking at the boys in front of her worriedly "What are you guys even saying?"

Josh and Julian's eyes bulged, caught by the situation. Sean found his fork even more interesting than his spoon and looked at it sternly with his eyebrows together deep in thought. Meanwhile, Bailey stiffened in her seat for a moment then abruptly stood up, startling everybody.

"The waiter's here! Yay!" Bailey clapped while standing. She then turned to the said waiter and placed both her hands on his shoulders, gave him a discreet glare and hissed "What took you so long?"

The food was served and the group fell to a quiet chatter. Bailey and Kaycee asked Connor questions about him while Josh, Sean, and Julian whispered among themselves.

"For someone who "doesn't care", bro you got a weird way of "not caring.", Josh silently snickered at Sean.

"Shut up Josh I get it." Sean hissed while stabbing a carrot on his plate.

"So do you think you can keep this up?," Julian asked, "keeping away from Kaycee? Are you really ok with it?"

Sean let go of his fork and lifted his head up. He took his glass beside him and drank his water while deeply thinking about Julian's question. From his periphery, he saw Kaycee slightly nudging her bowl towards him.

"Not again Kayc." he sighed, trying to fight back his smile, as he took Kaycee's bowl and placed it next to his.

Kaycee looked up at him smiling cheekily, "But I'm not hungry anymore."

Sean looked down at her bowl and then rolled his eyes when he looked at her, "You barely even touched this," he pointed out as he picked at her food with his fork, "you need to eat."

"Yeah, yeah whatever. You would still eat it anyways." Kaycee teased giggling. She then stuck her tongue out at him which made him shake his head chuckling as he ate from her bowl.

Julian noticed Connor looking at the exchange between the two and saw his confusion. "Yeah don't even try to understand them bro. We gave up a long time ago."

"You guys are really close huh?" Connor asked Kaycee but his eyes were trailing to Sean.

"Well we all did kinda grow up together." Josh replied.

"But Sean and Kaycee go way back," Bailey added, "and now with their partnership, they've been practically attached at the hip since."

"Wow. That long huh?" Connor said feeling slightly dejected.

"Yep." Sean said nonchalantly as he stabbed another carrot with his fork.
