Chapter Nine - Wanna Date..?

Lucy and Ryuu waited awkwardly, still holding on to eachother. They blushed heavily and looked away from eachother. Ryuu then looked at Lucy and spoke.
"Hey Lucy?" He asked.
"Uh... Yes..?" She replied, looking into his eyes awkwardly.
"I have the strangest idea..." He said.
"And... What's that?" She asked.
"Wiuld you like to... Just maybe... Uh... Get... 'Together'..? Erza told me that when I actually loved a girl, then I should ask her if she wanted to get together... I believe that means... That I should ask... Do you want to go on a date?" Ryuu asked, blushing even more.
Lucy was shocked. She had never heard somebody asking her out so innocently. He seemed in her eyes to be very sweet but she had standards she had to stick to.
"Uh... Well... You see..." Lucy started.
"I know your answer... Sorry for asking... I got a bit too excited... Sorry about that..." Ryuu said, getting sad quickly.
Well... He's so sweet... I don't know... I guess one date wouldn't hurt... Lucy thought to herself guiltily.
As Ryuu walked away to the exit of the pool, Lucy grabbed his hand.
"Wait! I just... Think... Maybe... M-Maybe one date wouldn't hurt..." She stammered.
"Oh? You're cold again? I'll warm you up!" Ryuu said, putting his arms around Lucy again.
"Eep!" She squealed.
Why does he keep hugging me like this?!? I mean... It's cute but... It's so tight! Lucy thought, half-choking.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I got carried away and almost squished you! Please forgive me..." Ryuu begged, letting go of Lucy.
Lucy instantly got angry.
"I never said to stop!" She replied furiously, putting Ryuu's arms around her, "That's better..."
She... Likes this? Yes! Ryuu thought happily.
Ryuu smiled widely, feeling more excited then he ever had. Lucy saw his wide smile and spoke.
"Why so happy? It's not like you scored a date with Mirajane... She's so much cuter so... Why are youso happy about getting a date with me?" Lucy asked, feeling bad for herself.
"I should be asking why you think Mirajane is half as good as you are! Seriously... You're like a little angel! You're cute... And beautiful... And nice... And smart... And... You're just perfect!" Ryuu said, lighting Lucy's face instantly.
"You... Think I'm an... Angel?" She said, blushing more than she had ever before.
"Nah angels aren't as cute as you are... In fact... Nothing is!" Ryuu said.
Lucy's heart started to beat out of her chest.
"So... Uh... When are you free?" Ryuu asked, "Cause I want the date to be perfect... For you at least..."
"Well I'm free any day as long as I'm not on a job... So... Where are we going?" Lucy asked, awkwardly grabbing Ryuu's arm and holding onto it tightly.
"Well... Girls like going shopping right?" Ryuu asked, "We could go to the mall or..."
"Or..?" Lucy asked.
"Uh... If you want to... Just suggesting... Maybe do you... Uh... Wanna go to the... Beach..?" Ryuu asked.
"Heehee! Already wanna see me in my swimsuit do ya?" Lucy asked, winking at Ryuu.
Ryuu suddenly went completely red.
"No! It's not like that at all! I swear! It's cause the beach is a romantic place to go for sun sets and-" Ryuu realized what he had said, "Uh... Forget what I just said..."
"Why? So what it's romantic! I'd love to watch the sunset with you... Heehee!" She giggled.
Ryuu calmed down and out his arm around her romantically.
(Then...)
Mirajane spotted Ryuu being romantic with Lucy and started to freak out.
"Oh my gosh that's the cutest thing I've ever seen!" Mirajane said cheerfully.
"What?" Erza asked, looking where Mirajane pointed and seeing Lucy and Ryuu laughing and talking on the side of the pool.
"Think they like eachother?" Mirajane asked.
"Well yeah... Looks like it..." Erza replied, looking harder.
"They are absolutely ADORABLE together!!!" Mirajane said, squealing and giggling.
"Yeah! They are pretty cute together!" Erza said, taking a drink from a giant glass of beer.
"I ship Lucy x Ryuu! Lyuu! Heehee!" Mirajane giggled happily.
"Lucy... You're so beautiful... Your eyes shine so bright under the light of the moon..." Ryuu said romantically.
"Aww..." Lucy replied, snuggling up to Ryuu warmly.
"Heehee! There she goes! They are SO cute!!!" Mirajane said, excited for Lucy.
"Yup! One t-true couple right there..." Erza said, drunk from all the beer she had drank.
"You okay Erza?" Mirajane asked.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine! W-Why do y-you ask? *cough*" Erza asked.
"Okay I think that's enough beer... Let's get you to bed..." Mirajane suggested.
"Y-Yeah cause I was think-king about t-that earlier!" Erza said, flopping onto the ground.
Mirajane carried her out of the guild hall and called a taxi.
"Hey Ryuu?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah Lucy?" Ryuu replied.
"Ever thought about getting your own house?" She asked innocently.
"Not really... Maybe I should... I AM eighteen after all..." Ryuu added.
"Y-You're... Eighteen?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah why?" Ryuu replied.
"No fair... Everyone here is so much older than me..." Lucy said, getting sad.
"Aww don't cry baby... It's okay... Shouldn't the guy be older than the girl anyways? And plus... It makes me want to protect my little princess even more..." Ryuu said romantically.
"Baby? Little princess?" Lucy asked.
"Oh! I'm sorry... Got carried away again..." Ryuu panicked.
The two sat awkwardly until later, Lucy spoke.
"You know what? Who cares... You're so sweet... Wanna just... Date?" Lucy asked, winking at Ryuu.
"You mean... I don't need to prove myself?" Ryuu asked, extremely excited.
"You already have! Heehee!" She giggled.
"You mean it?!?" He asked happily.
"Yup!" She replied happily.
"Of course I wanna date you!" Ryuu said cheerfully, picking Lucy up and holding her tightly as he spun around.
Lucy and Ryuu were both very happy together.
(Later...)
"Well... It's pretty late... I'm going to head home... Okay baby?~" Lucy winked, cheerfully holding him tightly.
"Okay then! See you later princess!" Ryuu said as Lucy walked off.
Lucy smiled back and waved cutely.
She's so adorable... I know what love is now... And there isn't a single better feeling... Ryuu thought cheerfully.
