Chapter Three - Erza, The Queen Of The Fairies

Where the hell did she go? I'm going to be so mad if I can't find her! How can she run so fast? Ryuu thought as he ran through the rain in the direction that Erza had run out of the guild, This running is completely useless! I couldn't ever keep up with her! Man... She's so fast!
Ryuu then heard a whimpering sound coming from the distance.
"Why... Me..?" Whispered a voice from not too far away.
"Is that her..?" Ryuu whispered to himself, slowing down his pace to be quieter.
He looked around to see through trees a riverbank. A girl with scarlet, long hair was sitting there, crying.
"That's Erza all right... But... Why is she crying..?" He asked himself, trying to keep his volume down.
"He... Called me... A monster... *whimper* Right when I thought... I might get a real... Friend..." She cried.
"Erza..?" Ryuu asked, coming out from the trees and to the riverbank.
"Huh..?" She asked, then after turning back and seeing Ryuu, she yelled, "Go away you imbecile! I hate your guts so leave immediately before the 'monster' inside of me slices you into shreds!"
"Look... I'm sorry for treating you poorly... A man shouldn't even touch a woman without her permission and I outright punched you, then after you being nice to me, calling you a monster... I'm sorry... I've been the monster... I shouldn't do that to any woman... Especially a beautiful one like you..." He apologized.
Then Erza snapped back, pointing her sword at his neck immediately.
"You have no right to call me beautiful! For one thing I am no such thing and two... You're... You're a dumbass!" She yelled.
"I was just trying to cheer you up... Is there anything I could do to make it up to you..?" Ryuu asked.
"How about... Let me stab you in the heart! That would be rather nice to do right now actually!" She yelled.
"Okay then... Take aim and do it..." He replied.
"W- What..?" She asked.
"I'll die if my friend wants me to... I've never actually had a friend before.. Maybe this is how a friendship works... I'm not sure... But if so... Then do as you'd please... Maybe I'm not your friend but I look to you as a sweet, compassionate young woman who is my friend... So if you don't think I'm your friend... That's okay... But your definitely mine..." Ryuu explained, holding his arms behind his back and squinting his eyes for his death.
The two waited for a second, then Ryuu felt a very powerful blow to the stomach.
"NEVER surrender to your enemy... That is a lesson you must learn..." Erza stated.
"Oww... My... Ugh... Stomach..." Ryuu muttered, then coughing up blood.
"Holy shit! Are you okay?" She asked, kneeling down to Ryuu and looking at him worryingly.
"Ugh..." He moaned.
"Oh no... What will I do?" She asked herself.
"I'm... Fine... Just... Need to... Get up..." He replied.
"No you are not! Stay down!" She yelled.
"But... Erza..." He said.
"Why do you try to make your pain worse!?!" She yelled furiously.
"Okay look... If you think one blow from an enemy will really hurt me... You're wrong!" He said, getting up and throwing a punch at her.
Erza fell to the ground.
"..." She stayed silent.
"Stop faking that you're hurt Erza... Because you and I both know you can shake it off..." He said.
"Heehee..." She giggled.
He... Punched me... And on the face too... She thought, then blushed.
"Did you just giggle?" Ryuu asked.
"Uh... No! Of course not!" She replied awkwardly.
"Um... Okay then... Need a hand..?" He asked her.
"If you wouldn't mind actually..." She replied.
He grabbed her hand. Then she pulled him onto her and rolled onto him, pointing her blade at his neck, her attempt of victory.
"Hehehe... Nice move Erza... But do you realize what you're doing wrong?" He asked.
"No... What?" She asked, getting confused and rubbing her head.
"Letting your guard down!" He said without hesitation, throwing her off of him and getting up quickly.
She brushed her shoulders and got up.
"I see how it is... Requip!" She said fiercely.
"Relic Gate... Open!" Ryuu yelled.
"Knight!" "Dragona!"
The two were battle-ready and staring eachother down.
"Make your move, 'Dragon Ball Z'!" She said confidently, holding her sword up.
"Hey! That's not even the right anime! And it's copyright!" He said.
"Just make your move!" She yelled.
"Okay... Okay... Fine..." He replied, then running towards her.
Dimwit... He can't actually hit me with the technique I'm about to use on him... She thought.
"Sike!" He said, jumping high over her before she could swing her sword.
"What the..?" She said, "You little... That's embarrassing!"
"I know right? That trick is so overly used! Nobody who actually makes the first move doesn't get hit..." He replied.
Wow... I can't believe how fast he is... Those dragon powers make him so hard to hit! Erza thought.
"Dragon Fury!" Ryuu yelled, hurling fists one after one at Erza.
She quickly dodged his fists and started to get tired after a while. Once he finally hit her after several attempts, he didn't hesitate to give her a large blow to the stomach.
"Dragon Fist!" He yelled, punching her in the gut.
"Ugh..." She moaned, lying on the ground and holding her stomach.
"Oh crap! I got carried away!" He said.
He looked at Erza's pale face.
"This... Hurts... So... Much..." She said, grabbing her stomach.
"Erza!" He yelled, quickly picking her up and holding her in his hands, "Are you okay?"
"I've.. Never felt... Such pain... In so long..." She said, "How could I let my... Guard down..?"
"I'm so sorry! I'll do anything! Stab me for payback! I don't care what you do just don't cry again!" He panicked.
"Dumbass... I don't cry from pain... And really... You don't know what you just got yourself into..." She said, then giving him an evil glare.
"Uh oh..." He said.
"You're in trouble now..." She said under her breath, slapping his hands away and getting up.
"Uh... Erza? You think we can talk this through? Cause you're kinda scaring me here..." He said, frightened at her sudden change of mood.
"You're... Scared..? Oh..." She said, instantly getting sad.
"Erza... I didn't mean it like that..." Ryuu said.
"So I'm still too scary huh?" She asked, getting tears in her eyes.
Erza started to whimper as tears slowly rolled down her face.
"Erza! I swear I didn't mean it! You're not scary at all!" Ryuu said, trying to cheer her up.
"Yeah I am..." She replied.
"If you were really scary... Would I do this?" He asked.
"Do what?" She asked, turning around.
He didn't hesitate when she turned around to pick her up, even though her armour was heavy, and embrace her in his arms.
"Eep!" She squealed.
"Hehehe... You squealed just like a little girl!" He said.
He put her down. Erza then stamped her foot hard onto Ryuu's.
"Oww!" He yelled.
"Don't EVER do that again!!!" She yelled.
"Okay then... I thought it might cheer you up..." He said.
After a moment of silence, she stepped towards Ryuu.
"Who said it didn't..?" She asked, then grabbing Ryuu's hands.
"Huh?" He asked.
"Just walk with me back to the guild..." She said, grasping his hand firmly and walking towards the path back to the guild.
"Uh... Okay then..." He replied.
This is... Nice of him... I never knew a boy could be so considerate... Erza thought, looking at Ryuu.
(And then...)
"So what you're saying is... You fought Erza, hugged her and she then held your hand all the way back here?" Asked Natsu.
It was getting dark so everyone decided to celebrate Erza's return by having a party. Truly, they just wanted an excuse to drink and eat a lot.
"Yeah... That's about right..." Ryuu replied.
"Hey Ryuu!" Lucy said, waving her hands from across the room where people where dancing to music.
"Hm?" Ryuu mumbled, looking over.
Lucy was walking over to Ryuu. Before he knew it, she was right in front of him.
"Wanna dance?" She asked.
"Dance..? I've never danced before... Especially with a beautiful girl..." He replied.
"Aww... Now you've done it! Come on!" She said, grabbing his hands.
Ryuu mouthed two words to Natsu and Grey, Help Me!
The two walked onto the 'dance floor' and Lucy put her arms around Ryuu, directing where his hands should go.
"So... I heard you and Erza had quite the romantic moment..." Lucy said.
"Nah... We're friends... Just real good ones!" He replied.
"Yeah sure..." She said, winking.
"To be honest I think you're the cuter one..." He said, not hesitating in the least.
Lucy was shocked at how easily he said it. He looked as if what he said was something normal.
"R- Really?" She stuttered.
"Yeah... But I guess every girl here is really beautiful so I'm really happy!" He replied.
"Hehehe... You must be a player..." She said, again winking at him.
"Well I think you're the heart-throb in the guild..." He said, finally hesitating a little, "Cause you are a celestial wizard..."
"Why am I a heart-throb for being a celestial wizard?" She asked, ignoring the compliment.
"Because celestial wizards are the cutest ones... They are delicate... They need others to help protect them... It's just cute... To me..." He replied, "But that still doesn't mean I like a girl hear yet... Just being a nice friend! That's all!"
Ryuu gave a bright smile, lighting Lucy up.
"Well that's very sweet of you... Any girl would be lucky to have such a nice guy as their own... But I think you're wild! You don't stop at one girl! Flirting with me AND Erza proved that... Two in one day! Hehehe... You're daring..." She said.
"I guess you could say that... But I just like exploring my options... Once I find the right girl I will always be at her side..." He explained.
"I see... You have no perspective of love... Do you?" She asked, suddenly getting annoyed, "Girls are NOT play things!"
Her reaction made Ryuu feel bad about dancing with her.
"I'm sorry... I do not have to dance with you then... You would like to dance with a cool guy like Natsu who knows more about modern life in houses and such... Wouldn't you? I'll go get him..." He said, getting sad.
"Aww... Don't be like that... I may not want to dance with you but I know who might..." She said, pointing at Erza who was pretending not to have been staring at us the whole time.
Erza then wiped tears off of her face.
"Is she crying?" He asked.
"Go see you naive dumbass!" Lucy yelled, pushing Ryuu towards Erza with great force.
Erza had her head buried in her knees as she sat down, crying quietly so barely anyone could hear.
"Erza?" Ryuu asked.
Erza looked up, then her face lit up. Suddenly, right after, she punched Ryuu in the stomach.
"Ryuu!" She yelled, "Why did you dance with Lucy!?!"
"She asked me too... Why can't I?" He asked.
"Uh... No reason!" She replied, getting red.
"Erza... I wanted to ask if you wanted to dance if you were up to it... But I guess not..." He said.
"You... Wanna dance... With... Me..?" She hesitated to say.
"Yes..." He replied.
"I'd be honoured!" She jumped up with excitement, "Requip!"
She changed into a scarlet dress with a rose in her hair.
"Wow..." Ryuu said, looking at her stunning appearance.
"Wait!" She said, turning around.
"Hm?" Ryuu mumbled.
"There... All done!" She said, turning around to reveal maroon lip stick on her lips.
"Lip stick!?!" He said, shocked.
"Do I not look good in it?" She asked.
"Well actually... You look stunning... And I mean... Wow... You have such beauty..." He said.
"Uh..." She hesitated, blushing more each second.
She then stood silent. After a while she spoke again.
"Forget about the dance... Let's go outside..." She said, embarrassed by people who happened to se her blushing.
"Um... Okay..." He replied.
She grabbed his hand and ran outside. When they got outside she slapped him in the face and gave him an evil glare.
"Hey! What the heck?" He yelled.
"You made me blush you jerk!" She replied.
"So?" He asked.
She whacked him a second time.
"I have a reputation!" She said.
"Oh... So you still want to be known as the girl who'll kill you if you piss her off?" He asked.
She started whimpering. Then tears rolled down her face. Ryuu then embraced her. She buried her face in Ryuu's chest.
"Please... Help me change Ryuu... You're the only one who can..." She cried.
"Okay... Let's start with you're attitude... Show how you really feel... To your friends at least..." He said.
"Well... In that case..." She said, grabbing Ryuu by the collar.
"Huh?" He hesitated.
Erza pulled herself towards him and kissing his cheek, then quickly as possible pushing herself away. A bush behind the two rustled loudly, but Ryuu was too suprised to check it out.
"Happy now? This is how I feel..." She said.
"..." He stayed silent.
"I... Have a... C- Crush..." She stuttered, "On you..."
