Dmitri was lying on his bed, contemplating his life. He had spent most of his years playing and making music. He had traveled, fell in love(again), had children, lost love(again), and now he was here. 100 years, I never expected it to go so fast, yet so slowly...

It was then that the door to his room opened and a woman in her sixties walked in. The woman looked very similar to him, even down to the smirk she gave her father.

"How have you been, dad? Staying out of trouble?"

He smiled. "Not much trouble I can get into anymore."

"How boring for you," she smirked and they both laughed.

He sat up.

" Take it easy."

"I'm fine, Delia. I do not want to lay down for too long. You know that."

"Yeah, You are stubborn."

Delia then sat on the chair next to bed and they chatted until late morning. Then Dmitri got dressed and made breakfast. It was then that his two other children and his grandkids came into the kitchen.

"Hey guys, Do you guys want breakfast?" Dmitri hugged his grandkids, though he wondered how accurate that was since they were in their twenties or thirties. His son, Jared patted him on the back and kissed the back of his head.

"Hey Dad, how are you?"

"Alright, still creaking and weak, but happy you are here."

Jared smiled, "Me too."

"Sally, dear bring it in."

"Hi, Dad." she laughed as Dmitri squeezed.

They all sat and ate breakfast, basking in each other's company.

By late afternoon, the family moved the party to Dmitri's backyard, where the kids have set up the grill and drinks. The grandkids were hanging by the pool and Dmitri just relaxed in his patio chair chatting away. Eventually, the sunlight faded and the family was gathered around the fire pit. It was one of the most peaceful days Dmitri has ever had and he wished it could last forever. When he went to bed, he was quite content. His family came in for one final goodbye and as they were filing out, his youngest grandson knocked over one of his dying plants.

"So sorry."

"It's ok, I'll get it later."

When everyone was finally out, he noticed two figures standing in his doorway.

"You're late."

"Death comes just when she is meant to. Besides, I had to get Sally." They then stepped into his room, one clad in a long black robe and the other in robes made of moonlight. They looked as though they hadn't aged a day past their 20's. They smiled. Sally stepped closer.

"Nice to see you again, old man."

He smirked. "You are one to talk, just because you are a celestial being, does not mean you aren't my age."

"Glad to see that your wit hasn't left ya."

He smirked. "Neither has yours."

Lex then sat on his bed and looked at the shattered pot on the ground. "Aww, the little guy got knocked down."

"What do you mean? That plant was dying." Dmitri looked down. "What?"

"Looks like someone is special. A Blue Hummingbird happens only once in a millennium. Not surprised you were involved."

"Yeah." Dmitri smiled.

Lex then took a deep breath. "So, are you ready?"

He turned and looked both of them in the eye. "Is anyone ever ready for this? I just want to know if my family will be ok."

Sally looked Dmitri in the eye and took his hands in hers. "If you had anything to do with it, they will be."

Dmitri smiled and kissed her hands. "Thank you. So what happens now?"

Lex spoke then. "Think about a really good time in your life, something really important."

Dmitri closed his eyes and thought about it. When he opened his eyes, he was suddenly 18 again, clad in his suit and converses that he wore to prom. He looked down at his elderly form and smiled. A final goodbye as his soul left his body. Lex and Sally exchanged a look of shock.

"Prom?"

"Yeah, it was the last time we were all together. I enjoyed my life and to be honest had a lot to choose from, but I couldn't help but think that I wished I shared those moments with you guys."

Lex and Sally smiled. Sally hugged him. "Us too."

Lex piped up then. "Well, do you have any last requests before we continue?"

"Can we hang out...one last time?"

"That can be arranged." Lex's eyes then glowed bright blue and she opened a portal.

Dmitri smirked. "Bright blue, that's neat."

"Yeah thought so too."

They laughed their way to the portal as Dmitri took his last breath.
