It's been since November 6th since my last chapter, and this story is almost done. I think I have 2 or 3 more chapters left. I was supposed to finished this last year but got interested in writing my other story. So hopefully I finish this book soon.

Chapter 23:
The day before the Father Daughter dance.

Selena and her stylist were helping Stella with her dress fighting.

Stella: mommmm... how long do I have to stand like this
Selena: Stella... be patient sweetheart
Stella: you know I can't stand for to long
Selena: I know, I know... Miss. Celine
Miss. Celine: yes dear?
Selena: is their way to hurry this along, my daughter is getting exhausted
Miss. Celine: I'm almost done
Stella: ugh... what is the point of dress anyways. I'm not even sure if daddy will make it
Selena: of course he will sweetheart, he promised
Stella: daddy had made several promises when he became president and he doesn't follow back on
Selena: like what?
Stella: my ballet racidial
Selena: you didn't even like the ballet
Stella: yeah but dad was the one that push me to do it for you, and when he never showed up to watch, I choke
Selena: I thought you choke because you were nervous
Stella: no I choked because dad didn't show up, he had his dumb secretary video tape the performance so he wouldn't miss it. He should have been there for me
Selena: honey we talked about this, you knew when your father took this job there would be less time with him
Stella: I know but he missed everything! Why did America have to like him twice. I love dad, and I know it's always been his dream to be president, but I just wish there was a way for him to balance his work and be with family like every normal family
Selena: honey I know it was tough growing up in the white house and not being able to see your father all the time. But your dad promised you when his term is over, he's going to spend as much time with us as much as he can. You think you're the only one who misses him, I miss him too
Stella: I know it's difficult to be the first lady and not being able to see daddy as much as you use too
Selena: I know sweetheart but we always found a way to make it work. It's either all or nothing *kiss forehead*

Later.

Stella was in her room writing in her journal, there was a knock at the door and she said.

Stella: come in
Selena: *enters* sweetheart your dad's on the phone
Stella: *gets up and takes the phone* hi daddy, I miss you, where are you?
Nick: hi sweetheart I miss you too. I'm at a fundraiser in NY
Stella: oh... NY? That's far
Nick: yeah I know
Stella: Will you make it home in time for the dance
Nick: don't you worry about it sweetheart, a promise is a promise and I will not disappoint you again
Stella: thanks daddy, I miss you
Nick: I miss you too, past the phone to your mother please

Stella hands the phone back to her mom and Selena took it and left the room.

The day of the Father Daughter Dance.

Stella was getting dressed with her cousins, they were getting their hair and make up after her cousins just came back from their daddy daughter date.

Natsha: Stella, why didn't you join us on the daddy daughter date?
Stella: because dad wasn't home yet and it wouldn't be right without him
Alena: I'm sure he'll be home before the dance
Stella: I hope so...

Just then Dani, Selena and Demi walked in and started awwing at their girls and the girls rolled their eyes.

Alena: I hope our dad's don't get this emotional when they see us
Stella: Mom, is dad on his way?
Selena: yes he said he will meet you guys at the dance don't worry Stella, your dad promised not to disappoint you again
Stella: okay because he did disappointed me when the girls got to go on their date with their dad and I didn't
Selena: I know you were looking forward to that, but your dad did promises you tomorrow
Alena: I don't know why Uncle Nick planned the father daughter event on the day he's never showing up
Selena: he actually planned to leave it open but something came up and it was important that he attended
Alena: why?
Selena: your Uncle donated a lot of funds to the black community and it's very important he make those promises
Natasha: I love Uncle Nick, he actually cares about the people unlike most presidents
Demi: we are all proud of him, and as apart of this family we need to show some respect to him for what he has done, even if he spends less time with his family
Natsha: I know, I just feel bad for Stella. She rarely gets to see her dad and I feel like Alena and I are rubbing it in her faces
Stella: you guys aren't rubbing it in my face. It's good you guys are spending time with your dads. Every girl needs to spend time with their fathers everyone in the while, don't let it stop you two. I will be fine
Natasha: okay...
Selena: alright girls, time to get in your dresses and meet your dad downstairs

The girls got dressed with their help of their mom and headed downstairs to take pictures with Joe and Kevin.

When the family arrived at the dance with all the others father and daughter. They found Nick waiting for them with the secret service.

Stella: daddy!!! *gets out of the limousine and runs up to him and hug him*
Nick: it's okay guys, it's my daughter. Hi kiddo, I miss you
Stella: I was afraid you weren't going to make it. How did you get here on time?

Nick did hand motion.

Nick: helicopter, here's your corsage

Stella: thank you, oh and mom wants a picture of the two of us together when we get back
Nick: I know she called me, shall we baby girl? *puts hand out*
Stella: we shall *grabs hand*

Nick greeted his brothers and the family went inside and had a wonderful father daughter dance weekend.
