There was an incident that happened on February 16th, 2021, at 12:02 PM EAT (01:00 AM PST) when antivirus programs on certain players' computers started to detect Elsword's x2 file as an trojan.
At 12:32 PM EAT (01:32 AM PST), I decided to do an VirusTotal scan on the x2 file and only three antiviruses detected it as a trojan. Hours later, KOG Games went and did an emergency maintenance on the game itself in order to fix the trojan problem.
According to one employee working for the company, they said that it wasn't easy to solve this problem at all and that the team alerted them that it is safe to download anyways.
