S9 EP5: Elrian Arcanum

This video starts with the lyrics of the song and a interview with the singer-songwriter Suran, known as her aliases Baily Shoo and Elena. The lyrics of the song can still be found here, but the Korean channel pretty much sure did a great job at translating some of their videos despite their translation quality dropping immensely according to ElWiki's Babel's about us page.

Anyways, this episode is named after a tarot deck project called Elrian Arcanum, whose Kickstarter campaign was suspended after KOG got suspicious when the money lent for the campaign were being donated to charity which violated the site's policies, as they sent an DMCA complaint to the company of the same name right before the project was fully funded later that night when Lumenstu Projects posted an update to the project on October 2018.

And then, here's a story about what happened to the Ultimate Codex and what will be the true fate of the Crystalline Codex, but before revealing the full story, let's begin with a skit before getting started with the actual episode.

In a room, Fabian and Elsword already wore an pajama and they played rock paper scissors, only for them to take off their pajama shirt, and when Fabian chose the scissors, we soon found out Elsword was feeling uncomfortable taking off his pants, leaving him with underwear.

Fabian laughed and while feeling uncomfortable, Elsword choose the scissors, making his cousin to take off his pants, leaving him with only underwear on his body. Elesis came out of the shower with a bathrobe, only to see both of them without their clothes and underwear.

Elesis got angry and beats Elsword up with a baseball bat, leaving Fabian a chance to run away naked.

Frostine walks to hug Bliz and said "Should we have kids?" "Babe, I never wanted to have kids with you." he replied. This is hypocrisy, as she saw him hugging Aluna who was pregnant with his baby, saying to her "I cannot wait to be a dad!" behind the bedroom.

Frostine packed her things in a luggage and ran crying outside. Ain calms her down and sees all of the monsters in the tower, and yikes! Some of them have a high HP level, so he suggested an strategy for her to defeat the three-headed dragon that has her, Bliz and Aluna's heads on its three necks.

And so on, Frostine goes to the tower and defeats some of her enemies with her ice powers. After defeating the high level enemies, she meets the same three-headed dragon Ain had seen and upon getting attacked by it, she used her Hyperactive skill, freezing them and making them unable to breathe fire.

Frostine enters awakening mode and summons multiple icicles to attack the three-headed dragon, and they were at low HP that they attacked her but she used an counter-attack skill, defeating it.

At the end, Frostine said "This could have been solved easy with my brother by my side!" and does her victory pose.

This seems to focus more on the Elsword Online side, so I tried my best to focus more on the RPG aspects. Anyways, let's move on to the actual story.

Crystalline walks in a post-apocalyptic medieval world and the Ultimate Codex lost most of its power, causing it to detransform back to the Forbidden Codex and the codex created from the Synergic Crystal.

Confused what codex she should use, Crystalline grabbed the Forbidden Codex and used it to change the time back to the events of Season 8's Creampuff Fiasco, Chaos in Mount Elyria and The End of Crystallin.

Upon going back to the time, Crystalline goes back to near Mount Elyria and soon realized that her predictions were true; Not only that Elsword betrayed Froid for brainwashing him, but he betrayed the New Leaf Fabulists, the El Search Party and Crystalline, and abused the El with the purpose of "protecting" it. 

The El Masters and the elemental priestesses already asked Elsword multiple times to stop abusing the El and tried to stop him, but they couldn't stop him from doing this absurd act and have no other choice but to destroy the El Shards, which could also mark the end of the world.

Crystalline came up to the El Masters and told them not to destroy the El Shards and make Elria angry at them, and so on they agreed. One day, near Mount Elyria, Elona, Raven and Eve made an plan to take revenge.

The anime video is more interesting, but still, the Live2D models shown in the first teaser is still great yet I've seen the same mistake with Code: Failess in Eve the Drama Queen. Anyways, let's move on to the actual episode.

As a part of the revenge, Elona lured Elsword into an abandoned house and soon as the two arrived to the house, Eve gave him chocolate with the sleep-inducing effect, and he soon took a "nap", with Raven turning the lights off and leaving him alone in the house as well as Elona locking the abandoned house with a key.

As the door was closed, Elsword didn't wake up, so the next day, he woke up and began to cry. Near the entrance gate of Elyria, Elesis got stunned upon hearing him cry and the Elyrian villagers covered their ears with their hands that they were unable to hear him cry.

As a method to rescue her brother Elsword from living in the abandoned house, Elesis stole the house keys from Elona's hands while he was sleeping, so she unlocked the door by using the house keys to free her brother.

However, Fabian and Crystalline surrounded Elesis in an attempt to persuade her into betraying Elsword, in which she refused to do so, as she said to them "Fabian, Crystal, I have a family! Why would you want to make me betray my own brother? Just leave him alone and go away!"

Fabian replied "No, I wouldn't leave my cousin alone until we find the truth about him!" Crystalline agrees with Fabian and said "Yeah! We won't leave Elsword alone too!" Froid came and hit both Fabian and Crystalline with a book.

"Woah! Please just leave Elsword alone! He didn't do nothing wrong, but it's all of your fault if he betrayed you, plus he loves his sister like how I love my sister Frostine." Froid said to both Fabian and Crystalline. Elesis said "Thank you Froid for defending my brother." 

Frostine appeared and said to Fabian and Crystalline "Wonder why Elsword decided to betray you both?" "Well, he was getting sick and tired of your unheroic attitudes that you both didn't listen to what his sister Elesis has to say about yourselves."

Elesis said to both Fabian and Crystalline "If you really want to gain Elsword's trust again, then you'll have to kiss yourselves." Crystalline said "WHAT?! I'm NOT going to kiss Fabian! He is younger than me!" Fabian said "Shut up Crystalline. Kiss me and you'll gain his trust."

Elsword woke up and got out of the abandoned house, only to saw Fabian and Crystalline kissing each other. "Great. This is what I wanted the most." he said. While kissing Fabian, Crystalline grabs the Forbidden Codex and tried to go back in time but he is still kissing her, which decreases its power.

Crystalline pushes Fabian away and said "Yuck! That was disgusting!" then ran away to the abandoned house, only for Elesis and Elsword to laugh while Froid and Frostine got disgusted. As soon as she enters the house, Fabian thinks about going on a date with Lolli and she said "Phew. I hope he doesn't think of me romantically."

Crystalline goes back to her house and writes the entire incident in her diary with a quill.
