S9 EP8: Elona Conflict

I would like to talk about the ongoing Elona conflict that happened when curious people searched for the dark elf character "Elona"'s name on Google only to saw mentions of the Japanese game of the same name popping up instead of the character itself, and the potential renaming of the character Elona (엘로나)'s name. 

The Elona conflict consists of a video game known as "Elona", and the dark elf character known as "Elona (엘로나)". This is a major problem, because the character needs to be potentially be renamed not to be confused with the other game of the same name. I never heard of the game "Elona" until now that I decided to post this episode.

Anyways, I'll would like to talk about East Fantasy Online, otherwise known as 东游记/東遊記 (Dong You Ji) and Fists of Fu.

East Fantasy Online is in fact a game, whom according to its Baidu Baike article, was suspected of being an Elsword ripoff by KOG and Nexon themselves who posted multiple screenshots and photos of the game on the official Naver blog of the latter itself as well as Korean news outlets and the audience as well.

East Fantasy Online was shutdown in 2013 not only because of being a Elsword ripoff, but the publishing contract between two companies, the developer Chengdu Yanlong Technology (also known as BLTECH and COG (China Online Game)) and the Chinese publisher CDC Games expired in 2012.

Wow, this is quite amazing. In this video, Eve has created three Nasod companions. However, I think the first Nasod companion she made as Code: Architect was actually Noah putting an Kamen Rider mask on his head and wearing her base costume even through the Nasod companion she created and Noah are different characters, but her character designer's art is amazing.

Anyways, Eve reminds me of Ieon despite both of them having a different backstory. In conclusion, this should end this episode for now on, but Elona's name will be changed to prevent confusion with the game of the same name.

The final verdict to the Elona conflict is... THE POTENTIAL RENAMING OF THE CHARACTER ELONA'S NAME.

The dark elf character "ELONA" will be renamed to...

ERONA (에로나)

ERONA is now the new name for the character ELONA. 

To the makers and players of Elona, if you are reading this, I'm really sorry for what happened over the past 6 months. I didn't meant to name the character after the game, so are you happy that now I renamed the character to Erona? Good. Thanks for reading this episode.
