“What?” Harry made a face of utter confusion.
“It's the shirt. Something is off about the shirt, Harry! We need to find more about this particular shirt.” Draco was saying, Harry was getting none of it.
“What about the shirt? I don't get it.”
Draco could only stare. “You said it yourself, it is suspicious.”
“Yes, I did. It's suspicious because under normal circumstances he would not have worn that shirt. But because he did not have anything lighter with him he wore it.” Harry stated.
“No.” Draco puckered his lips up in surprise. “How could you be so clever yet so dumb?” he said.
“Excuse me?”
“You said it yourself, it's just the shirt that was unmatched in the whole outfit. And it was certainly not because he did not have anything else to wear. It's much more…simple. It's just a plain suggestion, to look at it harder.” Draco stood up from the chair in a sudden wave of excitement. “Harry, we need to go shopping.”
“What the fuck?”
On exactly half past six, Harry and Draco entered a building in the most muggle part of Birmingham, and made beeline for a sales associate without a second glance at the store.
“Yes, how can I help you, sirs?”
Sparing Draco with a huff of annoyance, Harry turned to the man with a smile. “I was wondering if we could get flannels shirts? I prefer the color blue, but I can't find just the right shade. You know what I mean, right?” Harry batted his eyes a bit, hoping it'd do the job. According to Draco, it was supposed to make the man show them every blue flannel shirt available in their store until they find just the shade of blue they were searching for. He had told him, the chances were low. “It's worth a shot, come on.” He could only wish that the associate was in a good mood or new at his job.
“Uh, yes, of course! I can surely help you there. Here, this way.” the man started leading them to somewhere and Harry breathed a sigh of relief.
He honestly did not have any idea, what the same color of shirt was supposed to do, or even the associate. The only hope he had with the same colored shirt was the type of material. Even then, he absolutely did not see what help it was going to be. Draco's idea was to delve deeper into the shirt. What other possible clues could a shirt hold?
“We have these.” he pointed at a bunch of blue shirts hanging. “There's navy blue, light blue, ocean, teal, peacock —”
“No, I don't like these.” Draco interrupted in his obnoxious tone which earned a surprised glare from Harry. In response, he raised an eyebrow at him.
“Okay…” the man looked around them, seemingly ignoring the tone. “Let's go there, then.” he said calmly.
“Yes, please.”
“Here we have azure, stone, denim, berry…” he rounded the ring of hangers. “Oh, these are some rare ones. This one's called Egyptian, Turkish blue, Carolina,…” Draco could see Harry's eyes fixated upon a particular shirt, waiting for its turn.
“What's this one called? I like this one!” hence, he decided to speed things up a little.
“It's Lavenham blue —”
“What blue?” it was Harry's turn to interrupt.
“Lavenham blue,” the man's voice was getting more and more confused with every interruption, teetering on the edge of annoyance, that he had his eyes disappearing on the sides.
